I can only second previous reviews. This one of those excellent additions that brings a competitive edge to Joomla. It is rock solid, easy-to-use and superbly designed to provide professional functionality to any business site. I have it installed on a client site, working together with GCalendar (Google Calendar for Joomla). Highly recommended.
Well-documented extension.We had it running and being configured by a new Joomla user with only 3 hours experience under their belt! As registered users the first issue we had was solved by a lightening-fast response from the author, and we can't recommend it highly enough.
This is great extension. Does everything it needs to do and has a very professional look and feel. On top of that, support is swift and accurate. Well done!
Perfect joomla extension if you are looking for a powerful scheduling system for your salon or rental company. Very configurable and I love the integration with Google Calendar. Two thumbs up!

I cannot emphasis the quality of this product enough. The more I dig around in the Admin area the more I realise that the developers have really created something that not only does the job but it can be configured very easily to display exactly as you need.
Not only can you get the booking to show different categories, resources and services as well as user defined fields, but you can change the labels of these via the Admin panel. e.g. instead of calling the Resources that you can change them to be Venues or Facilities or whatever you need. Extremely flexible.

I have looked at some of the other booking components on Joomla extensions, and they don't even come close to Abpro.
I rate my competency level using Joomla as intermediate. You do not need to be an expert to use ABpro.
I have been testing and configuring Abpro for the last 6 month before my website went live, but this component can be used straight out of the box. I just prefered to have everything perfect in the way of customisation, css etc.. before launch.
I have configured abpro to fit exactly around our service industry business and have to say works flawlessly.
Rob Stevens the developer has given me first class support via their forum. I started 28 different threads on their forum with configuration questions etc.. and all 28 were answered and resolved withing 24 hours.
Rob surely does know this component inside out, I'm sure he doesn't sleep.
The component is very easy to use and very intuitive, this is a must if your business require's online booking and I can't think of a business this couldnt be used for.
When my support and update subscription runs out I will surley be renewing to keep up with the new additions Rob has planned for this component.
Bravo Rob, This component can only get better.

I love the flow of this program and how it works. It's a very easy to use solution and infinitely configurable. HOWEVER.....
I had a validation error where the bottom portion of my template was breaking by an extra closing div tag. Ran the site through the HTML validator and the software showed 94 errors.
Posted this onto the forum and was given a very terse reply of "This software works fine and there will be no changes made. The problem is within your template I will arrange a refund for you". ????
I was not looking for a refund, but an answer how to fix the problem. (Isn't that what a support forum is for?)
For the record, with rhuk_milkyway as the active template, the software threw 97 errors.
As I said, great piece of software. Perhaps the dev can get a better attitude towards those who spend money with him.

The power of ABPro will blow you away! Extremely flexible and I have found very little that it can't do when it comes to appointment bookings. I use it for my Home Inspection business and I couldn't imagine operating without it. Rob is dedicated to enhancing his products and his support is outstanding. Do yourself a favor and pay for the lifetime access because you will continue to use this application for a very long time.
I've been using this product for about 7 months now and really like it. It does pretty much anything you could ever imagine for managing appointments, different locations, custom services, payments and more. The service via the forums is excellent (even on weekends).

This program really works. I spent weeks evaluating online booking solutions, and tried several before looking at ABPro. Before the purchase, my email request for sandbox access was answered immediately. The client and I reviewed the sandbox and decided to give ABPro the go.
Installed very easily. The client had specified some unusual color combinations and procedures. ABPro had the flexibility to handle all of them.
Had one issue with PayPal setup. My post on the support forum was answered immediately and with instructions that were clear and complete.
Had another issued due to the client insisting on strange color combinations. Again, my post on the support forum was answered quickly and with good information.
The client and I are both very pleased with the final result. Support is excellent. Product is flexible and relatively easy to configure.

Installs so smoothly you hardly know you've done anything. And I could rave about the documentation forever - _every_ nicely done so that even a person with little/no experience with this type of module (like me) can get set up fairly quickly. Definitely take advantage of the "sandbox" they will set up for you on request to try it out.
This is the best paid extension I have purchased. The versatility of this product and the support is unbelievable.
Pros:

What I loved the most is the ability to access bookings using your phone app. I have so far tested it only on Android. Works perfectly and hope will work with iPhone and BB too.

The product does not do dependencies for resources.
No Google Checkout.
Hopefully in the later versions, Rob will add these functionalities.

Long overdue review. This is an amazing component. Prior to this we tried Resource Booking Pro by the developer, and it works like a charm. The developer also assisted us with all the questions that we had and also some trouble shooting.
We are also using AB Pro now. It works fine like the developer other components. Amazing work.. keep it up!.

How can a product be this good and cost so little? I actually felt guilty paying just $99 (the price including lifetime support and upgrades), since the developer provides unheard of support.
I am going to be pushing the limits of ABPro very hard, since it is going to be one of the three main components of our site. Therefore we have had quite a lot of detailed questions and requirements.
Even during testing on a sandbox server, Rob answered all of my questions amazingly quickly, with clear outcomes. "no it won't do that", "yes, you can do that, here's how you do it".
In all he has answered every question within 25 minutes of emailing support or posting on the forum. Incredible.
Remember, ABPro comes with free apps for the three big mobile platforms (iPhone, Blackberry and Android), so any authorised admins can receive and manage their bookings anywhere at anytime. This alone is worth hundreds, If not thousands of pounds, since developing an iPhone app with this level of integration would cost a fortune and yet it's FREE... crazy!
The apps are simple to install and use and cover all of the essentials, view and edit bookings, add bookings, manage availability etc. Simplicity delivered.
All I would like to see is the ability to change the screen title labels on the mobile screens, but this is minor.

ABPro was super easy to instal, very quick to set up, and is really easy for front-end and back-end users to use. I've been through about 5 other booking programs and been frustrated with all of them. My frustration has mostly come from lack of functionality and flexibility, since I have VERY specific things I need my booking program to accomplish. ABPro does it all and easily.
One last thing... I did mess up one aspect of the set up (my fault not the programs), but couldn't find my mistake. Support was almost instant, clear, and got my problem fixed lightning fast. Thank you. 5 stars all the way.

It's really fantastic component. Works as announced and is really simple in installation and it has it's potential when it comes to configuration.
Only thing it lacks for me is backward sync with google calendar. I mean it really nice creates events in GC, when booked via ABPro interface, but I would like to see booked time slots when events are created via GCal. (When I pick up the call I sometimes book event via Outlook which sync with my GCal)

In my case, i wanted an extension that would let users book any of 100 seats in 10 tables (set as categories). Turns out, if let's say 97 of these seats are taken, and a user wants to book one of the remaining 3, the user will have to select seat #1-#100 one at a time, and select a date, just to see if it's available. If none are available, the user will have spent the last hour looking for seats available all for nothing.
Needless to say, this is a very frustrating experience to users and sadly, this extension was removed just as fast as it was installed.
In the end, I only recommend this extension to those who have very few resources to book.
