BooKiT v2 is fully customizable to your needs and fully translatable in multiple languages.

Back-end :
- Create and manage Bookings of arbitrary items
- Create menu links for each one of the booked items and customize the way you want it to be displayed on the front end. In particular you can check whether you want to:
* show pending bookings or not
* display calendar in narrow or wide layout
* automatically display current year’s availability on page load or not
* enable availability check for specific dates
* show a booking request form which website visitors can send to the administrator
* enable sending email notifications to website visitors and administrators when sending booking requests
* show booking instructions to the front-end
- Automatically create bookings on the back end when website visitors sends a booking requests
- Automatically add creation Timestamps on bookings
- Mouse hover support on calendar day cells: tooltips with booking details will be displayed when you place your cursor over a calendar day cell that it is booked

The extension installs with ease and is easy to configure. It does exactly what it claims and integrates extremely well into the template theme. As it stands it cannot be faulted and in my view merits a full rating as being a quality Joomla extension worth paying for.
It would be useful to have the facility to obtain more information about the inquirer, such as how many guests, their ages and any extra requirements such as mobility aids, infant cots etc. so they get the most appropriate advice or accommodation but also to screen potential guests to avoid parties of youngsters who might spoil the accommodation for other guests. Perhaps something for a future version?

I installed Bookit, did the translation to spanish, but it had problems (I am not exactly an expert).
I mailed support and in a record time everything is solved! Even he did for me most of changes.
Now I can realy appreciate how useful is this joomla component. It avoids a lot of work in the most simple form.

My client wanted a booking management system for his apartment rental that had a calendar showing availability and a booking enquiry form that would automatically show pending bookings on the calendar until confirmed so no double bookings can be made and this component delivers all that in a very intuitive way.
The backend admin cp automatically logs booking enquiry details so all you need to do is confirm the booking.
I had a small issue in setting it up and emailed the developer and he replied within minutes with the solution. Very reassuring when paying for extensions to know how well the product is supported.
Highly recommend this component for it's ease of use once set up & Great support.

Simple to install and worked right out of the box. Whilst not coded for my site, flexible enough to adapt as needed. Whilst there were issues with my server setup and the sending of the emails, after what must be some of the fastest support I've ever had issue was resolved.
Absolutely no worries about if the cost is worth it, it is to me and my client.
I was worried about the form not having a Capcha-esq security, but to get to the form the customer must've interacted anyway, my worries are gone.
Overall, excellent component, excellent support if needed.
