I'll Be There/RSVP certainly interfaced with JCalPro well - saves time and energy reposting events that need registration. We even figured out how to add a PayPal button into the "Thanks" page. BUT ... A big drawback is reports: there's no way to report custom fields beyond fullname and email. We even tried scrounging up data from the tables with SQL2Excel, but the custom fields data is vertical, and we don't see a way to join three tables for a report. I suppose $20 and a few hours wasn't too much to find out we'll have to hunt for something else. It will probably work fine if the two fields are all you need, or payments don't have to be tracked. We really do like JCalPro and were hoping not to have to switch to something else.

I like RSVP, been in use on a production site for a few months now and is generally good.

My biggest gripe is the speed of development. One of the core features, extracting registrations from the component using custom fields has been broken for the time I have used the app. It's a bit of critical part of why I wanted to use it.

I've asked the dev team to consider adding a feature or so and they've responded positively.

The tech support for the product, via a forum is pretty good too.

I'll be there does what it is supposed to do well, and once it irons out the kinks will be an important part of my arsenal.

This in no way should have been released in this condition. Any customization of fields such as is touted will be erased if any of the formatting of the "formattable" HTML forms is touched. That's ONE big issue. Following the link to "update" your registration information gets you nowhere, no data to update. Confirmation emails don't work (Thank You emails DO seem to work, although don't allow access to cancel your registration). Multiple-person registration DOES count down the total seats allowed, as it should, and contrary to what some reported. There were zero permissions set on the php configuration file on the server side. All in all, it looks like it was just abandoned as a project, with volumes of programming information in there that's not even near-prepared to work yet. So if it were entirely FREE, perhaps I wouldn't be inspired to write this note, but because we're made to pay support subscriptions, and since the owner stated in the forums that support is not included for this program, it should work as stated and not have to rely on "support." I have no choice but to uninstall it and look for a safer solution.

Thanks for your careful review. We have been quietly working in the background on 100% re-written version of RSVP that is now available. All of the bugs you have mentioned are fixed and many more features are added. I encourage you to try the new version.

This doesnt work yet and it will compromise your users data. There is a bug that doesn't seem to be fixed. You should pay for more expensive versions if privacy, or accuracy is a must for you.

Sorry for the negative review, but it really is a major problem.

The support seems to be trying, but they cant replicate the problem which is a problem. This is not just my issue, but several people in the forum.
I paid for this...kind of a waste

Overall, "I'll Be There RSVP" has great potential. Install is very straight forward and setting up events easy.

Pros:
Easy Setup and Config
CB Integration
Flexible Custom Fields (Global or Per Event)
Nice look that blends with current template

Cons:
Nasty, hard to reproduce bug showing up causing registrations to get overwritten if events open to non-registered users. Hopefully they will track down and squash this soon. Makes it unusable if you're hit by it.

Built-In fields for all events difficult to see, which can lead to duplicating things.

Like to See:
Integration for Paid events
"Family" Registrations - Think along the lines of Parents registering their children
Field Requirement Dependencies - If Field A has a certain value, Field B should be required

Integration with JCal Pro (I think this is coming)

Great start! Final 1.0 version should be a winner.

Review on Version 1.0.0 Beta.

At the time of this review it is still listed as a "Beta" release.

This package has a great set of features that can only compare to more expensive event registration packages. It is great value for money.

There are some bugs with time format and additional field entries, but the developers are very attentive on their forums so this product is very well supported.

Note that RSVP currently does not integrate with their flagship extension JCal Pro, although it does appear to be in the pipeline.

Top marks for simplicity and value for money.

Thanks for the note Zarth. We've a maintenance build in hand and thanks to the end users, have another round of bug-fixing due this week. It's really coming together.
