this is a very useful module. unfortunately it shows the next event only. it would be better if we could select the amount of upcoming events.

Three, two, one, mark. nextEvent hits the spot exactly.
As a long-time developer who too often has been remiss in offering reviews and ratings, I have to say this module is a gem, not only for its highly configurable but easy user interface, but for its stylish way of complementing schlu.net's EventList.
Having installed an earlier version, I was taken aback when the developer stayed in touch over the next two days to squash every single bug I brought to his attention. His persistent support was so generous that there is no way for me to guarantee the same to every user. He replied to my concerns FOUR times in just half a day. Remarkable.
But having thoroughly tested this module on my site, I can tell you that nextEvent is more than ready for prime time. It is a star on my front page.

This event module was precisely what I need, because it allows me to highlight my next event in a way that catches people's eyes. There were a few bugs earlier, but they have all been corrected, (at least, from what I can see now). I think this could be very useful for a lot of people.
This component is great, exactly what I want for my community site which used JomSocial. Eventlist and JS are not integrated, so users in the JS page are not informed of the events information. Now I can let nextEvent appear anywhere on the site to remind users of the upcoming events. I haven't tried nextEvent with Joomunity, but I think it should serve the same purpose.
The component itself is easy to install and use, and has a lot of config options. The support is great too! I reported a bug to the support forum, and the developed solved it for me immediately, as well as updating me with the latest program.
It would be near perfect if the new version could have the option to show several upcoming events, e.g. when there are two events on the same day, now it seems that only the early event got attention.

The extension works amazing well and has a lot of options to work with. Looks great too.
One error though, the link for "Book Now" adds and extra "/" to the hyperlink. Might wanna get that looked at. I mean, we can fix it manually, but some may not know how.

Thanks for the compliment, and I'll squash that bug asap!
