This extension is very useful, but not the most beautiful display. There are a huge number of ways to customize it too.
The best part is that it allows you to add events from the front end (although I had to modify the code to allow public to add events.)
I use this extension so the public can add events, then I can publish the valid events, then I display it all through Gcalendar extension. (this is done by creating a Google Calendar using the ICS created by this extension!)
This extension would be better if I could eliminate some of the Add Event fields in the settings rather than changing the code.
Cheers!

I needed an event calendar without all the bells and whistles for a small site, and SimpleCalendar came to the rescue.
Not only is this extremely easy to implement, don't let the word "Simple" fool you, as it looks just as professional as the paid event calendars.
The support is second to none, and the turnaround time for me on the forum was under an hour!!
I have found my new event calendar, and will use it for client sites from this point forward.

pretty easy to use, but you have to PAY or it has a very obvious footer link in bright blue that says
"SimpleCalendar 0.7.11b"
i would have been fine with the "SimpleCalendar" link but add the 0.7.11b just looks BAD!

The footer link also displays the version number because it is still marked as beta software... This helps troubleshooting some issues and quickly verify what version one is running. If it bothers you, why haven't you contacted me through the site? There's a support forum and there's a contact form. BTW my software is free (as in "free speech" AND as in "free beer")... :)

Easy to install. Pretty easy to use. Got support the next morning when I had a simple question I should have answered myself.. so their support staff is great!

Very good and simple extension. Normally, I use Eventlist for bigger sites, but this one is perfect for smaller sites that don't need all of the Eventlist functions! It's easy to use and configure, plus, it looks nice!
If you're looking for a simple, elegant calendar/event componenent, look no further!

Thank you for this excellent add-on ! It makes it very convenient for me to collect event and meeting dates and show it on the frontpage - I liked the eventlist package as well but it had too many features that I was never using.
Looking forward for more add-ons from your side !

Had some translation troubles with v0.7 before installing 0.7.6b (Beta). Now the wording is correct. Before it mod/com seemed to just use the variable names instead of the correct words/text... Nevertheless: perfect component/module that works as expected and is free - another must-have of a joomla add-on!
Thanks Fabrizio;-)

I needed a event list that also integrated a map of some kind to the event as well as a module to place anywhere on the page to show the upcoming events. I don't have to look any further. SimpleCalendar is perfect. Easy install and no headaches. Thanks for a great component and module. The Google map feature is awesome!

Hi
I think this beta is a teaser, however I miss a few things before I'd use it. First, I'd wish for the Submit buttons to be on bottom of the form. Second, I'd wish for the frontend user to be able to register Group, at least for users with Editor rights.
Thanks!
