We and our client are very happy with MijoEvents. After spending weeks on a another event component which never worked as intended, it's equivalent of a day of sunshine after weeks of rain in UK. In my opnion, what makes MijoEvos so lovely is the regulation between feature rich and flexibility (easy to use). Other developers take heed of only on them, features or flexibility.
The support is also great and there is quite good documentation and information on the site. Highly recommended!
I have contacted support on numerous occasions but they cannot figure out their own app. I did figure some out on my own, and yeah, it's a rewarding feeling but I just want it to work without me putting in developer time.
Time and time again they make great looking apps but the configuration takes a rocket scientist to get it operating and that just doesn't bode well for me and my limited time frame.
I shall rethink the next time I see something cool from Mijo.
The import from iCagenda failed, again the support guys logged in and sorted with with the help of their SQL plugin. Again - support good, but issues like this don't fill me with confidence in the product as it's an advertised feature.
Displaying a calendar was good, until I tried to change to a weekly view. Again, a support ticket later and login from support sorted it out - but again, it shouldn't be happening in the first place.
The out of the box template has issues working within the out-the-box Joomla 3.1 template when having modules left and right leaving centre free for content.
The admin interface isn't particularly clear, a bit clutter, but it does look like it will ultimately do what I want when I finally work through the quirks/learn to use it.
It's a bit rough round the edges. I'd rather the software worked straight through the install/configuration process rather than having to contact support (and give them, an admin account! :( ). If I ever have to reinstall Joomla/move server etc I don't have much faith that I wouldn't have to contact support.
I am happy that support will help me through issues however so my review goes from 3 to 4 stars. If I hadn't had these issues and the interface was a little nicer it'd be a 5 star review.
We have only 1 user that had problems with iCagenda but he doesn't have the other issues mentioned here, strange...
Today I had an issue about booking proccess (didn't something right, my fault) so I asked for help and in a few hours the support team replied back and now everything is working fine!!!
I highly recomment this component as it's really easy to use and responses of support are very fast.
Custom fields with fees is the most powerful feature of Mijoevents, for me. Also, having all of these fields configurable like in a CCK system gives extra flexibility to the extension.
The support team is also very pro, they answer the questions in time and accurately.
A good event system.
After some tries i contact with the support and thx to them i fixed my problem.
So, this extension is good but the support is great and you can send a backup of your site in order to them try to fix your issue.
And they are receptive to including valuable features that have not been implemented
At this rate, they will soon surpass the other event registration components and become the gold standard.
I moved to mijoevents from an extremely full featured event registration extension that I'd used for the past 5 years (but their tech support has dropped off the planet and I can't get the latest version to function properly).
I needed an events component that could offer event list, a calendar, locations with a Google map and group registration. All of these were inside MijoEvents by default.
The customer service is also awesome(prompt and honest)! Every support ticket is replied within 12 hours, and all of my issues/requests are resolved.
I can recommend this to anyone, from basic to full featured!
The MijoEvent and MijoShop integration is nice for that. Your customers need only one log-in to buy event tickets and catalog items.
A few smaller issues still, but support is very good and are working quickly on most fixes.
Quite polished for a new extension.
MijoEvents has the best support team in the market, they really know thier stuff and are quick to answer any questions you might have.

A few problems I've had have been dealt with quick through their ticket system.
The location manager is the best part I love from this extension as it's so nice and easy to use... Just play with the pin on the map and you have all what you want.
All in all, it is really the best events manager for Joomla: nice looking, easy to use and the support is great.
The support is also amazing and quick responder and also able to resolve any kind of issue in timely manner.
