Not sure when these guys sleep... It just seems like they are always at it! DT Register is by far, the best registration system out there!
I was totally a Joomla beginner when I first purchased it 1 year ago, and not to say I'm anything but a beginner still, I feel like I've grown and learned a TON (and continue to) just from having this software installed. We put on dog competitions across the country and the competitors needed to be able to sign up and pay online. I needed something scalable and flexible and this system ROCKS! Not to mention the support is really fantastic! Of course you're gonna have times when they're busy and can't get to you right away, but it's not like they're off snow boarding in the Himalaya's...they're most likely working through the night to provide an update for whatever is ailing the system. It's funny because 99% of the time (probably 100!) that someone leaves a bad review, had they waited a bit they would have found that their problem was solved. These guys are constantly updating, re-updating and improving the performance of DT Register.
Another great thing about them is if you find that it doesn't do something that you want, submit a ticket and most likely you'll see YOUR SUGGESTION come to fruition!
And if that isn't enough, they have Webinars all the time which are soooo helpful! When you sign up for one you can put what you need help on and they go over it, plus you can ask questions while it's going on. I get on one as often as my schedule permits!
Bottom line, no doubt, I HIGHLY recommend DT Register!!!

Easy to install, easy to set up - I was up an running in 5 minutes. The included modules and plugins make this an uber-component. The ability to create my own fields was paramount, as the info is often times exported to a third party system for processing. The support is fantastic too! Even when I fat-fingered the component's settings, they were quick to respond and very polite and helpful!
I've been using DTRegister for 11 months. I needed a little help to get started, but the response from tech support was great. I had an issue lately, but contacting tech support this morning (by submitting a ticket) I got a quick, friendly, and very help response! Everything is working great! I would highly recommend this product. They are constantly updating/upgrading. The latest upgrade now makes it ppossible to create events without JEevents...it's now an option! And in some cases this solves a lot of problems!
This seems to be a great very comprehensive module that theoretically caters to all of my needs... but there is crucial issue when using a supposedly "supported" payment gateway that has not been fixed or addressed.
I understand that they have been backed up on support tickets, but it has been over three weeks and I have not received assistance. I have been delayed from going live and have wasted $75 and a month's worth of possible business opportunities.

This user had submitted a ticket that WAS responded to right away. Then after some additional replies by the user, the ticket did fall through the cracks admittedly. We're not perfect :) She did send an email asking about the delay, which resulted in us digging out the ticket and responding right away. Unfortunately, she posted this review at the same time before finding our reply that her issue had been fixed and announced on our site and forum a couple weeks earlier. She did not pay attention to the announcements which would have helped. We apologized for the delay on the notification, but as with any issue that arises, we address it quickly and update the component very frequently. Thanks.
Ok people, if you need a registration system, THIS IS THE ONE!!!! There are enough bells and whistles on this bad boy to please anyone and everyone! We have always used DT Register and while it was a wee bit of a pain to operate two components in the olden days, this NEW system rocks! They have thought of everything, front end, back end, multiple payment configuration files even the ability to use bar code technology to print tickets! Seriously guys...HATS OFF FOR A JOB WELL DONE!
We knew when we purchased this we were waiting for the new release (2.7) but we purchased it anyway and waited for the new version before working it into our site . DT Register staff were put under a HUGE amount of pressure from users to release it ASAP which did happen . Only problem was it wasn't ready to go . So a lot of users banded together and informed DT Register staff of the problems and all the problems were fixed according to priority .
This is the best Event Manager out their in my honest opinion, as we had trialled a fair few before ending up with DT Register . Once you learn your way around, the possibilities are endless and coming off the 2.6 version which has always been reported as one of the best , these guys had to keep the new version in the same stead .

I've used DT Register since last summer and have always been happy with it. My clients were looking for a registration solution that would allow them to charge a base registration fee with the cost of individual classes added on separately. DT Register made this easy, and I doubt its competitors could match the features they offer.
So why one star? The latest upgrade, version 2.7, is nonfunctional. Bugs I experienced included:
* public registration not working
* 'pay later' registration not working
* no email confirmation of registration
* registration records did not show up in the back end
I had assumed the paypal info we set up previously would still be good, but the test paypal address they use by default belongs to someone else – thankfully our test registrant could reverse charges.
This 'upgrade' has been nothing but a headache. Even so, if I had received a timely response to my support tickets, I wouldn't be writing now. With 2.6, I received an answer within 24 hours; now it's been three business days gone by with no answer. There's a message on their site that says, 'We are still backed up on tickets so your continued patience is much appreciated,' so obviously I'm not the only one with issues.
The message for the latest patch says, 'As many of you know, the initial 2.7 release was a bit bumpy for many users. I think we fell to the massive pressure from so many users to release it and ended up releasing just a little too early.' Unfortunately, it still has issues and 'bumpy' is an understatement: this release does not work, period. I now have to find another solution and do not recommend DT Register at this time.

This review is completely false. I'm addressing it with the user and suggested that they contact the JED team to get the chance to fix it. The only part that was true is that it had been 3 days to reply to her ticket. True, we are behind currently, but working non-stop and have been addressing known 2.7 issues in a very quick manner. The package is definitely stable as seen by the many other people using it just fine. The user's ticket has been answered and it was a list of showing her that none of her problems were actual bugs. She just did not have anything configured.
1) She was not even using the latest package. We've released 3 bug release packages since what she had, yet she failed to update. We post all updates in our forum, Twitter, Facebook, Joomla People's site, etc. The forum shows full details of what is addressed in each update.
2) She clearly did not take advantage of our updated video tutorials which clearly describe all of the items that she has failed to setup. Everything she named in this review is due to HER mistake. Not bugs. This equals a completely invalid review.
3) Even the paypal issue she mentioned is false. DT Register does not ever load a default email address into paypal settings. Obviously, that would be bad practice. The address she said was there is totally unfamiliar to us and in no possible way came from us. Someone on their end would have had to have changed it.
This user clearly has made no efforts to learn about the many improvements in 2.7 which are provided in tutorials or our regularly offered live training webinars. I'm helping her through, but this review has no basis.

The relationship between JEvents and DT Register gave me just that, in a highly integrated yet very separate interface. (NOTE: 2.7 no longer requires JEvents, but it's what I need.)
When my needs became far more complex and I began to require complex pricing options for groups and individuals, I turned to the new 2.7 version with outstanding success as the Extra Fields revamp allows Change Fee fields.

We used this registration extension for a regional conference we are hosting in Indiana. It has worked out perfectly for us. The many new options available have really given us the flexibility to host the event and have good control over the options the client receives.
Pros: Ease of use, very stable, great new features. Great support.
Cons: Can't really think of any - if I had any issues I guess I would list them here - but it's been very reliable to date.

We have been using DT Register in our school district's professional development center for over a year now and run multiple events on our calendar.
The developers at DT keep their ears finely tuned to customer requests and are continually adding new features and updates.
Customer support from DT is FANTASTIC!!! Most of the time I'm able to maintain and update our system on my own (I'm a new-ish/intermediate joomla! user), but I really messed things up with the most recent upgrade. The developer directly went into my site, brought things back up, and fixed the upgrade.
I've also sat in on his webinars before - he takes such care to make sure that users will have a great experience with the product.
DT Register is very user friendly and allows for very flexible custom field management. I just can't say enough good things about DT Register. If you have questions - help is available from the friendly DT folks. If you would like to see a specific feature, they listen and work on getting things into future updates.

I have used all the other events components for Joomla, commercial and non commercial. This is by far the best, especially since version 2.7 now has front end editing and it's own calendar - easy for clients to manage their own site. The support is also top class.

I have to say…the new DT Register is one of the BEST written and fully functional products I have ever purchased for Joomla! It is without a doubt above Par…by a wide Margin both in quality and features at the current verison! I am impressed. I hope DTH Development will continue to evolve it AND also turn to developing other products.

There really isn't anything bad to say about this extension. It is stable, very functional and well supported. Very well supported! Every issue I've run into has been answered almost in minutes.
There have been a few rough edges here and there, but it is actively being developed and moved forward all the time.
Due to the sheer volume of options you have, it can be a little daunting to configure at first, but I'd rather have those options and go through setting it up than not.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone that needs an event registration system on their site.

After reviewing the features with my client, we decided to give it a try and it has been a very worthwhile experience.

A server glitch on our end caused a problem during an upgrade and within hours we had the answer to our questions and were able to get the site operational again within a day.
For the cost of this component, the value is superb. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to V2.7.

There is no doubt that should you purchase this component you will be more than satisfied with the result. For newbies like me who rush into it and make mistakes, the service has been excellent and the DTH guys have been really patient and helpful. Save yourself time, look no further than this DTH component. It's really powerful, runs beautifully and does more than just 'the job'. Well done, and thanks :-)
DT Register includes all that you need, easy to use and set up, especially considering all the features available. Support is the best I've encountered for any extension here at Joomla, Just perfect, always a solution to any problem, even if it's not within DT register component itself. Thanx for a great component Nathan.
Support has been great. We ended up having an issue that was not on the DT Register side, but got all kinds of help from DT Register to look for things that might help. Any scenario we had with registration there was always a resolution. Would surely recommend this for registrations, and have other clients about to go on it too. AND, they have help videos...don't see much of this for other products but it's great to watch MEANINGFUL examples that you can put to practice on your site.
We use DT Register on a daily basis and push it to the limits. Anytime I get stuck, have a question or request, the developers answer with clear, concise directions or even just fix it for me and usually within 24-48 hours! Rarely do you find this kind of support for any kind of product. There is no reason to not use this extension!
DT Register is the heart of my website. I use it to register attendees for my photography workshops. I have been using it for about a year without any problems and am probably due to upgrade my subscription. If I have one minor criticism it is that there are TOO MANY releases and upgrades. I am just one person and am always under pressure, so I have fallen behind with keeping my version up-to-date.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad all is working well for you! Yes, we put out updates about once per month on average as we are highly active with adding new features and improving anything we find that needs it! You wouldn't have to upgrade every time though unless you need or want something in the newest releases. ;)
