I am fairly new to Joomla and was able to get this component installed and working within minutes. The support staff at DTH is very prompt and courteous. They were very forthcoming about the state of new feature development (eg: discount codes, multi-event registrations, etc) and I am looking forward to updates to the feature set.

I was afraid setting up an online registration system for our organization would be very hard, especially because I am new to Joomla. I was very pleasantly surprised in DT Register. It was very easy to install and configure. It offered the flexibility for me to charge 2 different rates (member and non-member)for our events. There is just one little quirk I'd like to fix -- it puts a phrase at the top of the registration form, "Your total cost will be xxx" This doesn't allow for the fact that non-members will be charged a higher fee. However, the company has been extremely prompt in answering my questions & is working on a way to help me fix this little problem. I would recommend it.
Although this component doesn't work the way I first imagined... bottom line is – IT WORKS. The new version with custom fields is awesome and I highly recommend it. Beside the fact that it is the only event registration system for Joomla that has options for 3 payment gateways, group registrations, support for Pay and Free events and at the right price… Nathan and his team provides EXCELLENT and fast support and because of them I was able to make my launch deadline... they basically saved my butt.
I am hoping the next version has support for captcha images, an Event FULL feature, enhanced group registration process and more admin features but for the price of this component – you can’t go wrong. I would be willing to pay 3 times the price for these extra features as it would be well worth it…

Thanks for the nice review! Since this review, DT Register now supports captcha security images on forms that do not need payment info, has an event full feature with a waiting list system, and is integrated with Community Builder for enhanced user function! Enjoy!
I bought this extension and had a little trouble getting it installed. The support was awesome. They had me up and going in no time. The extension works great! The ability to have people register from the JEvents calendar makes this extension even better!

While there are other registration options available, DT Register allows my users to PAY at the same time. This is huge for me. The different options given are helpful as well, particularly for me the option of adding late fees in. I had a couple issues when setting things up, but DT was very helpful and we got it all worked out. Thanks!
This extension looked great. But it doesn't work. Support has responded by saying they know there is a problem and many people are having problems and they are working on it. But they won't give a time line. The problem with this is that I paid for it and it doesn't work. They shouldn't be selling it yet if it won't work properly.
So if you are considering this extension wait until they have a fix for it.

We were able to set it up on her site, but she was not able to. User Error is partly involved here. HOWEVER, the new release is available now!
I hesitantly downloaded this product because it's the only of it's kind. It was a waste of time and money. With countless bugs and an overall lack of needed functionality and style, this extension should be free. Honestly, I wouldn't even consider this a BETA release.
I buy and use numerous Joomla components and modules on a regular basis and this is the commercial license that I've been disappointed with. It's awful

Many people use this without issue. Sorry you didn't take adequate time or even ask for help. We are happy to assist with any problems... even user error :)
Although I did not end up using this component because we decided not to use Joomla at all, the DT Register component seems good based on the bit I played with it. It installed easily and the admin interface is easy to understand. A couple of minor drawbacks are: 1) there is not a separate path to allow people to register for free events - you still have to go through the payment process; and 2) the first page of the registration process asks if you want to register as an individual or a group, and it would be nice to be able to turn off that page and just go straight to the next page. I'm not sure if that's possible and I just missed it.
