Seminar

- If you are using version 1.2.8 or below of this extension, you should upgrade immediately. A security issue was found and fixed with the release of version 1.2.9
Version 1.3.0 is a major update including a lot of new features:
- Joom!fish support
- embedding of files
- event templates
- login menu
... and much more
I was using a different one that made me want to pull my hair out.
This extension allows you to decide if the person needs to be registered or not, just lots of options.
I would like to know how to remove code at bottom..and if there is a way to change the time format to 12 vs. 24 clock.
The only thing I can find that I wish it had is the ability to link directly to an event. I would like to have the option of copying the event link to reference it in another page. Instead am copying the whole seminar link, which means the user has to scroll down all the events to find the one they need.
Other than that, it has great information in the front end with different information according to user level (non registered, registered, special, etc).
It is a great tool, thanks for writing it.!
Hello pgomez,
you can link to an event by using the following url: http://www.xyz.com/index.php?option=com_seminar&task=3&cid=XXX, where XXX ist the ID of the event, shown at the backend.
Many thanks,
Marco
Of course I can edit the code, but maybe the component could be made more general in future versions?
Also, the booking system is probably the best of the free offerings so far - many calendars simply don't offer it. My suggestion for a future feature is for the event owner and administrator to be able to book on someone else's behalf. Also if the event owner/administrator could record attendance, that would be good too.
Well done!
Hi albs,
thank you very much for your review. I want you to know that an event owner and an administrator can book on someone else's behalf since V1.22. On the tab "My offerings" you have to click on the button representing the number of bookings ...
