- This extension requires registration to download.
You can define multiple rating criteria and these can vary across categories. For example, if you are rating movies, restaurants and wine, you will want to have different rating criteria for each. If you need more power, like listing submissions, custom fields and editor reviews, then you should look at JReviews which offers this and much more.
Integrates with Community Builder, JomSocial and Kunena. It includes MyListings, MyReviews and MyFavorites plugins for JomSocial and CB, and comes with listings, reviews and favorites modules which let you present the rated listings and reviews in many different ways.
Reviews and helpful votes can be automatically posted to the user's Facebook wall and his friends' streams, allowing you to quickly spread the word about your site and create organic traffic. New reviews can also be automatically tweeted to your site's Twitter account.
The frontend user interface is translated to more than 20 languages.
Update June 20, 2011 - JReviews Express 2.3 was released with Joomla 1.6 compatibility and tons of new features like listing submissions, simple search, multiple directories, listing claims and inquiries, favorites and featured listings.

JReviews - Where can I start....... The ultimate Joomla component by thousands of miles! It actually staggers me as to the features that this component provides. You can literally do anything with this component. Everything I have wanted to achieve with my site is within easy grasp. There is nothing that this component cannot do with its easily customizable framework! Keep up the good work!! I absolutely LOVE this product! AMAZING!!!!!
Oh and I almost forgot the support! It amazes me that a small team can provide better support than a multi national! I get a response within hours. Alejandro consistently provides support over and above the JReviews component. If you want reviews or just a better way to manage listings then do not look past this component. I happily part with my money for this!!!!

I bought this component three months ago, since then I must say I received a very helpful assistance when needed and the updates are frequent. once I noticed a little bug with an update, and the corrected it just some hours later. When you find a good component, that works well, with a good helping service and often updated, that's not so frequent, you must give tribute to the developers.

I've used ALOT of components, both purchased and free... and this one easily tops anything else I've worked with.
Not only does it have amazing functionality, but any forum posts or ticket submissions I've made have been answered almost immediately.

JReviews was a fantastic find for me. It added the functionality I needed for my website but, as with many extensions, needed some fine tuning, Luckily, the support for this product was above and beyond what I was expecting - I had to modify the PHP code to achieve what I wanted by customizing the extension - and Alejandro gave me advice and pointers along the way. Officially, he's a Joomla Rock Star!
I really didn't realize how powerful the jreviews component was. My biggest problem is the fact that I totally suck when it comes to being good at modifying joomla. Support is Awesome, even when I have misunderstood instructions.

This is by far the best Joomla component I have ever come across. Alejandro does his very best to not only keep the system up to date and easy to use, but he also delivers excellent and quick support.

This component is amazing. It is by far the best I have ran across since using Joomla. If you are concerned for a minute about the price, then you should leave this review completely confident. This program DOES WHAT IT SAYS! The video tutorials are made for a novice and the support system is quick and painless. I have already bought two copies and I probably will buy a 3rd in the next week.
I really wanted to like this component. Unfortunately, it's specifically geared towards short in-depth review styles where user submitted text is expected. If you turn off allowing users to submit text (which makes it easier to moderate and less like a bulletin board), the reviews still take up the same space and the review criteria appear to hang out to the right. Also, I didn't see a way to turn off "Was this review helpful?" I was just looking for a quick way for users to submit something like multiple ratings based on criteria in a quick way. This didn't seem to fit that well enough.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review, although it's too bad you didn't get in touch with our outstanding support department to resolve these very basic requirements you had. (1) The JReviews Express themes are 100% customizable , so if you wanted to disable comments and reformat the output it can be done through theme changes. (2) There's a setting to turn off review helpfulness voting under configuration settings, reviews tab; and you can also remove it from the theme files as well if you didn't find the setting. We now have a demo of JReviews Express at http://demo.reviewsforjoomla.com/jreviews-express/ so you can try it out before buying.
I've tried many options before I decided to buy this extension. And really it's worth every penny invested. Configuration is quite simple and intuituve. Very nice and natural integration with the existing structure of your website. Works like a charm straight out of the box. The support is great too. The problem I encountered with front-end reviews updates (collision with other modules installed) was resolved cleverly and quickly.

I have already made by second website using jreview. The tool is very easy to learn/use and configure. The administration part also is very user-friendly. The support is quite efficient.
Recommended features:

- Set criteria(SQL required) in listing modules to serve your needs
- Overall rating can be based on different criteria (e.g. Story 4/5, Actors 3/5, Music 5/5 --> Overall 4/5)
- Upload multiple images at once
Suggestions: It could be better if there are more customize setting on the listing display.

This plugin delivers what it promises and is worth the cost. I started with Express and moved over to the full version.
The Express version is really simple to use, so you can get started right away. The full version requires you to invest a little more time to understand it, but that's expected with all that it allows you to do.

I think Jreviews has lifted Joomla to a new level. As original version is quite complex, I would recommend this one for those with smaller needs and skills.
