Joomla/Vtiger Lead Capturing ComponentModule

November 4 2009. Both, the component and the module have been succesfully tested with Vtiger 5.1.0 .

This component and module has been developed so you can quickly & easily design a form in Joomla that captures vital information on your users as they register to your Joomla web site, and then securely uploads and stores that data into pre-defined fields you have created within the Vtiger CRM system.

This is SEF (search engine friendly) safe component. It has been tested with the native Joomla 1.5.7 SEF engine.

The component is for serious marketers who are looking for tools to build their client base. This component is the first version of a much more powerful landing page tool we’re developing to help marketers do: Lead Profiling, Marketing Automation, Market Segmentation, and Market Surveys.

Great Extension guys. Easy to install, easy to configure, worked like a charm 1st test run. Sure its rather basic and it could be streamlined a touch better, but I'm sure not going to complain figuring its free and I didn't have to spend countless hours coding it. :) :) :).

Works as advertised ... the tutorial on the developers site is well done and helpful. But I agree that linking the lead capture to Joomla! registration is a show stopper. I simply want to capture leads to vTiger not register a user to the site. So while the app is well don for what it is I cant use it.

From a lead generation standpoint, I dont know how many people will want to register for information. This is good for subscription based sign ups, but not for a quick contact form to a CRM for marketing purposes.
I must say excellent work on this com and mod. Works perfectly and the video presentation just makes it so easy to install and setup. I cannot believe that anyone could be negative about this. The only thing that I would change if any would be to have the com configuration open in the window not a light box very minor detail.

This is a nice tool if you want to have the user "register" to your site and create a contact in vTiger. It is not a simple contact form that creates a lead in vTiger. Kind of weird for an end user to pick a password when they just want a phone call.

I can’t believe this guy above is so negative – this component works like a charm. And who goes through the trouble these guys at Open WebApps did to create video training on their component. It made it so easy for me to set up. I think anyone who is looking for a simple tool to gather information on the users who are subscribing to their site and pass it on to the Vtiger CRM would find this a great little application.

I went to the the site. Clicked the link for the video to open in a new tab and clicked the register in order to be able to download got an error like

Fatal error: Call to undefined function joomlavtigerBuildRoute() in /home5/somethingrather/public_html/somethingrather/includes/router.php on line 302

I watched the video went to the main site was able to register from that page. Got everything installed modified the account (I don't get why thats not done in a configuration of the component) saved my changes published everything (the parameters and publish/unpublish from component isa tad confusing you have no check boxes to publish or unpublish? )

So I go to view my front page and all i see is a module followed by Fatal error: Call to undefined function joomlavtigerBuildRoute() in /home/mafia/public_html/2009/includes/router.php on line 302 see http://2009.joomlamafia.com Ill leave it like this for at lease today.

So I go back to there site to see about some sort of contact page and what do you know, I can't find anything on the site or even this listing for support.

I went to their website and before downloading I watched thir multimedia interactive training material, it is fantastic! I registered and downloaded the component and module, it is easy to install them in Joomla. It does not require any Vtiger modifications. After configuring both Joomla and Vtiger as per their video training it worked like a charm! I am now capturing leads!
