Issue Manager ComponentModuleLanguage

Issue Manager is a free Help Desk extension. It includes a component and a module, and allows the web supporters to monitor any request or feedback from the users or customers of the web in a centralized communication channel, by means of the "trouble tickets". The users of the specific service offered by the website will be able anytime to create a new ticket so that they can report a complaint, request, suggestion, etc. This ticket will be attended and replied by the web supporters (operators or administrators). A ticket will behave like a forum thread of messages, except for the fact that every ticket will be private and only visible to the user/customer who created it and the operators and authorized staff of the web.

Features:

* Alert icons: "unread new message", "ticket resolved"

* Color codes: "waiting reply", "ticket closed"

* Full integration with the e-commerce extension VirtueMart as an option, which can be activated in the administration interface. This will allow the customers of an e-store to report about any incident regarding any order previously made. A new ticket may be assigned to a specified order from a list of all the orders made by this user. Of course the user will still be able to create a new ticket which is not assigned to any order if desired and not order is applicable to the feedback.

* An AJAX pop-up window shows the customer the items purchased in an order just by moving the mouse over the order number. Thus allowing the customer to quickly recognize which order to select and attach to a ticket.

* Issue Manager allows, if enabled, to send e-mail notifications to the concerned side when new posts has been sent or new tickets have been created.

* It also allows to change the currency symbol used.

* It supports language translations (English and Spanish languages already installed).

You can download a package containing both the module and component, and also try the demo by registering in the web, or just by using some premade users for the demo.

Installed the component and module.
Read the help files. The important note says the module will only work on menu items that link to the Com. I tried that. Module doesn't display on the page. I installed the com and mod on several sites. Linked the mod to the com menu page. Still nothing works. Module does not appear on the page.

I've rated this good, because there are a few issues with the internal structuring that needs attention, before this software is 100% Brilliant!

VERY simple to install both components and simple to create a menu item for front-end user interaction. The back-end equally as simple to use. However I have encountered two issues that made this software unusable. Firstly there is no ticket deletion method, either in the front-end or back-end modules, this will prove to be somewhat of a problem as your SQL ticket database starts to accumulate high volumes of expired tickets.

Secondly and I believe most importantly, I have freezing issues when enabling the email reply option. however this could be an issue with my ISP and PHPmail handling.

Conclusion: If you install this module and find you do not have high traffic volumes and not get the mailing issues that I have encountered, then this simple and effective solution comes highly recommended by me as a worthy ticket support tool!

Very good. No issues at all. Very easy to setup. Installing was a piece of cake!

Editing the template files is very easy so customizing is a breeze! Looks very clean and coded very well.

Only downside is I can't create Help Desk categories like Billing, Technical, etc but that's a small issue, I know the developer wanted something simple and something that just works perfect.

This was fantastic! I'm giving it full stars!!!

This component is easy to use and very very useful.
If you are searching for a ticket system to use with your virtuemart store this is the best choise. Simple management and simplicity for your customers.. the second one is the most important i think.
Just, can you add more features (like delete tickets and customizations of setting?) and make a better look and more options for the message.
I dont like very much the Tables, they are too small and dosen't look well!

This is a very simple and effective ticketing system. BUT, there's no way to delete the tickets. That could be a problem for large sites with very large customer inquiries.

The interface is clean and lean, straightforward and well organized. However, it misses a couple of crucial features as of now:
-Custom fields
-Categorization
If one doesn't need these feature, than it is a very good choice.

I like this product for it simplicity and ease to set-up. Ran into a few minor issues in my particular set-up, which I fixed myself.

- When redirecting after adding a ticket i added the currently active menu to the URI (I need this as I only show the module when the support section is active). Before this the active menu highlighting did not work.
- Had to change the query in view_ticket in the admin controller as the date field was not included.

For the rest very happy with this product.

I search for a ticket system for my site and all have not a way to keep simple. After much time I look and install yours and can say it is excellent and simple to use. It is nice to have and use, thanks a lot.

I've been meaning to write this review for weeks now - Sorry for the Delay!

This is a great extension for managing user/customer issues - especially if you are using VirtueMart on your site and want to manage Order-specific issues. This Component allows you to create a ticket specific to a VirtueMart order.

I found that the support for this extension was top-notch. I received timely and accurate response to my every issue and when the problem was a bug in the extension it was fixed almost immediately. I also found the developer very open to suggestions for additions/improvements to the code.

The only reason I didn't give this extension an "Excellent" rating is that I feel it still needs some additional features on the Administrative site to complete it functionally. If these haven't already been covered - I'll add them to the appropriate thread(s) in the forum.

Hi,thanks for such a valuable addition to the community.This extension forced me to write this review.Installation>customization>configuration every thing is great n simple.I wana ask one thing.Is it possible to enable auto email generation for each event both to customer and admin?
I get an e-main,when i reply to a ticket.but i want emain notification on ticket generation to both customer and admin.

At this moment e-mail notifications are possible when a customer or an operator/admin replies an open ticket (then the opposite side receives the e-mail), and when a customer creates a new ticket. But in this case only the operators and IM admins will get the notification, not the customer. However I will consider doing this on a future realease. Anyway I invite you to open a new thread in the site forum so that we can keep track of this.
