So what the module can add to Joomla!? It adds a chat button which links to a fabulous chat room, with multiple skins and multilingual support, written in flash or HTML/Ajax, and a visual setting panel, etc.
1. Integration and auto-login
With 123 Flash Chat's Joomla! Chat extension (or chat component), at back end your users will be fully integrated to the chat room. Therefore, your Joomla! users won't have to log in again.
2. Display data on the fly
The chat module may display the following data in Joomla web pages to dynamically show the following information:
* The connection number of the Joomla chat.
* The logon user number in the Joomla chat room.
* The chat room number for Joomla chat.
* The chat users' name list in all Joomla chat rooms.
3. A free hosted chat
By installing the Joomla! chat extension, a free hosted chat will be automatically generated for your Joomla!. You can modify the chat-room's name, skin and size of it.
4. Social Connect
Chat users can add linking to their Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo or Google account, so to update their status on the social networks with their activities in chat!
5. Server Modes
123 Flash Chat provides three solutions for webmaster.
1) Trial version of 123 flash chat server software
Advantages: Full function. Your users can enjoy all 123 Flash Chat's optional modules, including audio/video chat.
Limit: Only 10 concurrent users may use the room and you need to host by yourself.

Advantages: It's hosted by 123 Flash Chat free of charge, no limitation to the number of concurrent user, and provide basic chat function.

Advantages: No commercials, full support service, multi-client choice, and could select suitable chat room to combine with according to your individual needs.

The truth is that they sell hosting.
When their product is not uploaded to their server does not receive any support from them.
My advice is not to delude themselves on the nice words ... will not receive anything opposite ...
Sorry we didn't make you happy, hope we can make it up to you, cause "wait for 10 days for support" is not right and is not supposed to happen! And we do sell hosting, but we offer professional support to license buyer as well.
Firstly they say yes for everything you ask for but do not do any thing. Such a waste of time. My hosted chat is not working from past 2 days and have business impact. I submitted a critical ticket. No response, only response I got that provide your ftp account. I provided this info as soon as I got email from them.
I would not recommend this for professional sites ok for hobbyist sites. I paid approx $1000 for web messenger and chat rooms.
In one of the past flashchat suppot email said " Our developer has eye problem and won't come to work for a week" come-on for god sake, I paid lot of money I don't need such lame answer.
They do not disclose lots of info when you sign up. They put their logo on the chat client. And ask for $200 to remove it. They are not fair.

Let me explain, the reason of the login error "format error of the auth-url response" is that our host server is blocked by the firewall of your server.
Therefore, we made a link on another server to turn around the block and then problem resolved!
This is a frequent error and we've added it to FAQ so that customers and our tech team will know how to handle it efficiently.

It's our fault that your chat and web messenger are down for 48 hours. No excuse, it shouldn't happen and we're really sorry.
1) It's true that 123FlashChat has a tons of cool features, thanks for admitting that.
2) As to "free", a free hosted chat will be dispatched to Joomla users, that's 100% true.
3) As to the "avatar change", to change the regular avatar group in flash chat client costs only $100. So you might are talking about the avatar figure in avatar chat module. That's quite different cause it's animation and it involves many body parts to make them walk, approximately it will need 2 designers to work about 2 work days to accomplish the task, that's why $2000 customization is quoted. But if the change is not necessary, you don't have to pay for customization at all. However, I'm sorry that the quotation made you uncomfortable, you deserve an explanation.
4) "Chat stop working and multiple issues ever since." It's true that one of our hosting servers was targeted by DDOS attack recently which is affecting connectivity in some cases, sorry for the problem, but we're working to mitigate the attack, everything should be back to normal as the attack has subsided, but we are actively working with our ISP on measures to prevent such attacks from affecting connectivity going forward.
5) For technical questions, you are strongly recommended to contact us via email, cause a screenshot worths a thousand words. And it's true that some members of us have poor oral English, we'll get more training to make it better, thanks for reminding us. Meanwhile, we had poor connection via Skype before but fortunately we've moved office lately and the latency problem shall be resolved already.
I tried to trace you in our customer database but failed with the name "Mom2momless" or something similar like that, so the answer is rather general, please excuse me for that.
The service, is ok. I'm currently STILL waiting for support. I integrated into Joomla by following the instructions, however there is some issue with connecting to my hosting service for the chat. I called the number they plaster all over the site, and they answer, but don't say anything. One time, someone did answer but apparently they couldn't speak english???? I'm not racist or anything but I couldn't understand ANYTHING they said!!! I said "I'm sorry, what did you say?" and they didn't respond, just sat there on the phone.
As for chat support, they don't wanna help you. They forward you to the Support site to submit a ticket!!! been a few hours...still waiting! When it comes to sales, they will talk to you immediatly, but as for support, nope..they're in no big hurry.

Our support team leader searched the ticket system, and found only one “on-hold” client last Friday who uses both Joomla and chat hosting. And referring the reason his integration doesn’t work, that’s because he didn’t give us the right account to do the integration and didn’t upload our Joomla chat module online. So if you are the client, we are sorry that we really cannot help you to do the integration. As you know, “one cannot make bricks without straw”.
While our supporters still contact the client for his issue, and then after the account arrived, our support integrate Joomla for him instantly.
In fact, we supply both free installation service and integration service on request. Once the payment comes, our consigner will send an E-mail to confirm the purchase and ask the clients whether need our help to do integration. If he/she need, we will assign a support to do it at once.
For answering call, we offer English service all the time and all staff can speak English to customers. If that’s true, I would like to know how this misunderstanding made. Could you please tell when and how you called us? I hope to improve our service to be better and better.
As for the chat support, we only offer 7*24 live sales support now. As I know, no chat software providers offer 7*24 live support until now.

The 123flashchat is the best chat from the users point of view that I found. I have it hosted by the company and it is quick, easy to use, the Joomla-Integration (free version) is quick and easy.
The whole system is a little bit more complicated in the installation itself, because it´s a whole different system then Joomla and there is a need to connect two different servers, the chat-server and the Joomla-installation. While the free chat is installed quickly, there may be some difficulties in installing the full version. The Joomla-Module is installed the same, but you have to put some codes of your own or hosted chat-client in, in the moment the chat always directs to the free version, no matter that I bought it.
Even more complicated is the integration in vBulletin: Here you have to edit some of the php-files, which can be anoying in every update.
But ... remember two important points:
- The important point is the users point of view, and from this point this is the best chat I found. Once it is installed it works brilliant.
- I bought the script about 3 years ago and I see very good improvement in the developement of the integration. While it was a two-hour-process editing masses of php-files that time, now it is only the upload of some files and the edit is just some little code-snippets, few of them. And the rest ... adjusting paths until it works.
When you want to integrate a really good chat and nut "just a simple script", you will have to do some work. And if this is your goal, 123flashchat is maybe the best you can get (I didn´t find a better one.
As soon as the integration works "out-of-the-box" I will change my rating to five stars. ;-)

The one complaint about support is simply unfair. This is essentially an extremely robust COMMERCIAL product. The free version is to show you what the paid version can do, and it does that job very well. There is NO such thing as a cheap chat room with this kind of capability (video and sound). No one should expect support for free for this kind of thing. I didn't buy it, but I have used the free demo. It's a great product but it's really only worth the money for an enterprise operation. If you've got a small site that only adults will use, the free demo is great.
