The name JBolo! is derived from the Hindi word 'Bolo' which means to talk. Based on the Gmail/Facebook Style jQuery Chat Script by Anant Garg, this application promises to be an exciting thing for Social Networks in Joomla.
JBolo! integrates flawlessly with Joomla, CB or Jomsocial as per your choice.
A Must have for Joomla based Social Networking websites.
The Support subscription entitles you to support as well as access to updates for the product during this period. You can keep using the product on your site for life but updates can only be accessed in the subscription period.

This easy-to-use add-in for a community Joomla site adds just the flair and functionality necessary to keep users communicating and engaged. It's by far the best chat tool I've evaluated and it integrates so well.
The JBolo! team also did a great job customizing the application to our site per our specifications for integration with other third-party components (at an additional cost, of course, but worth it).
The only suggestion I had for them was to make the look and feel more customizable via CSS, since the design is rather rigid as of the current release. However, I'm told that they've added this to their development schedule, so I enthusiastically give this software 5 stars!

Thanks a lot for the review ! Yes the few elements in the structure that are not controlled via CSS will be in the upcoming releases..
And the customization we did is to be released to all very soon :)

Seems like a great product. I've purchased several "nice ideas" from Techjoomla. We have a professional site and overall the concepts have been in-line with what we wanted to accomplish. we've purchased at least 3 modules and support doesn't exist so you have to make the modules work on your own.

Works exactly as advertised. Super easy to install and works great.
The only features I wish it had:
-Ability to tell if a user has logged out
-Chat Logs
-Free

Mine is a small-but-growing community site for foreigners in Nanjing China. For us, chat is not a main feature, but rather a small enhancement, of the overall ‘social networking’ dynamic that we are trying to build upon.
Enter jBolo. Installation is a breeze: I installed the component, a module, and 2 plugins. To test, I opened up one browser in Safari, one in Firefox, and logged in as two different users in each window. Wow! It works right out of the box, with a look and feel very similar to Gmail and Facebook chat.

Have you ever been logged in to your site and noticed that a friend of yours was logged in as well...ever wanted to get their attention? This add-on is awesome. Displays who is online, with the click of a button you can send them a message no matter what page of your site they are on (even if there on a page where the chat isn't displayed). This app is very much worth every penny! I would recommend this app to everyone!
The only suggestion I would have to make to the authors, it would be great if you would add a "send" button to the bottom of the chat window.
A few times I have run in to a problem when I press the enter key and it drops to the next line instead of actually sending the message. (IE & FireFox). It happens on such a rare occasion though its not really a problem.

I have tried a couple other simple chat extensions for my site and this one works the best. It's great for a site where chatting isn't the main reason people come to the site. Mainly because the chat is on every page if some one starts talking to you. Along the same lines as gmail chat and the chat on facebook. The support was awesome. Unlike so many other components, this one's author provides excellent support. Money well spent.
