There is no need to integrate forum and site, forum and site may use different databases (and servers) — everything configurable.
Layout of the topics view can be flexible configured by CSS-styles and build-in predefined styles.
Features:
*) Multicolumns output
*) Embedding styles for vertical or horizontal columns
*) Count of post/replies for a topic
*) Configurable links to forums, topics and users frofiles
*) Configurable output format using language INI-files or module parameters
*) Option to hide topics from specified forums
*) Options to hide topics subject to topic type: Locked, Normal, Sticky, Announce, Global
Languages: English, Russian, Spanish (by Selim Alamo).

This module is very easy to use and works perfectly. I have a joomla website with jfusion integrating phpBB3 and wp for blogs.
I would like to have better documentation for the "forum setting" area, output time format and date format would help a lot of folks who are new to most parameters.

Finally 1 module that works properly, out of a few I tried. Others either didnt work, required $15 to link as _blank or broke other modules.

I'm looking for a module to show latest post of my phpbb forum for a long time. Each oen i've found has some problem.
This module works really well and looks better.
Many paremeters to configure in order to put the module wherever you want.
Max length of title, vertical o horizzontal format, max width!
