The bridge allow to enable separately visual integration and user integration. Require PHP 5. ||
The bridge is replacement of my older bridge for Phpbb2. Similar logic, but slightly different instructions.
minor "update": finally the patched file for phpbb 3.08 are available. But you could get them before, by following hacking instructions.
Great work on this.
Was easy to install. Although I had issues configuring relative path for my joomla as it is installed in the root folder. However, just making the relative path as ".." fixed it.
Works just as I had expected. Well done devs. Great work indeed.

This bridge is very useful and simple to install. It works very good with visual and user integration. You can select the way you want to use the bridge:
- no integration (nothing changes)
- only visual integration
- only user integration
- Both visual & user integration
You only need to insert some hacks on phpbb3 but not in joomla. Joomla is untouched.
The bridge needs to use adapted themes for a good use. Bridgesilver, an adapted theme from prosilver, is provided with the bridge. You can find in author's web, instructions and a tool for the adaptation of new themes to the bridge. But I think that some skills are required for this. Adaptation of new themes to the bridge it's not so easy, and is the only lack I could find to this excellent bridge.
The author of the bridge is serious. I contacted him twice for installation help and I received a fast response by email.

If your thinking of using phpbb3 on your website, the this mod is a must.
The basic install of the extension is good, however after a few custom edits of the phpbb3 template files this basic mod, become Excellent!
The step-by-step manual on the developers website is great, but could do with a few graphical illustrations, clearly showing users how to install it, maybe a video.
Other than that, 5 stars all round. This is a great extension you should be proud. Thanks man.

I'm fairly new to joomla and phpbb but this extension made bridging the two a breeze. Do to my lack of experience i did require a bit of assistance and received excellent support from the developer. He was able to point me in the right direction and now i have a fully integrated forum for my website!

Thanks for your review. But just to clarify things, using CB doesn't prevent you from using this bridge. The bridge automatically correct some links when a CB install is detected . I guess you might be looking for more advanced CB integration.
