Free, quick to install, quite easy to setup and adapt to your site's template and most importantly reactive support from Thomas & the users @ codeclassic.org
I found it very intuitive, it integrates joomla user management rights nicely. Simple & clean bulletin board module : i recommend it!

I have just installed ccBoard and am very impressed with it. I have only very recently started working with Joomla and this Component installed with ease, was very intuitive to configure and integrated completed with the rest of Joomla.
I have had a fair amount of experience with Simple Machines Forum (SMF) and was disappointed to find that the bridge was no longer available but when I installed ccBoard I found it to be far simpler to configure and is has all one needs for a fully functional Forum.
Way to go guys!

Amazing, I thought it would be a hazzle to migrate my old forum to this one, and therefore waited way too long, finally I tried and it went so fast and painless I did not believe it was done correctly, but shame on me, everything worked in 2 minutes!!
Had a few minor changes to do, great and fast support from the developer, thanks.
For others migrating from FB, leave the editor in ccboard to be "ccBoard(BBcode)" otherwise your smilies will not show correct, you can always change the editor when migration is done.
Thanks again.

This board was the only one that worked perfect with my site and I tried all of them.
As a joomla newbie, I installed, and tried to get to work multiple forums for joomla, but ccBoard was the only one that worked with no programming or PHP knowledge asked. I had an issue, post it on their forum, and I get the right answer in a day, with my problem solved. I absolutely recomend.

Here is a rather basic forum, with no private messaging neither groups management, but very pleasant and clean. No bug, intuitive actions, I definively adopt it instead other tried, more complicated with bugs an less pleasant face.

I started with joomla yesterday and installed ccBoard a few minutes ago. Smooth installation and everything seems great. Was able to create and moderate topics with ease. Great stuff. Thanks Thomas.

I had no experience with Joomla! and was able to install ccboard so easily. There were a couple of issues because of the initial host I chose, and even then, through searching the ccboard forum and applying patches Thomas had supplied, I was able to get the forum to work. At one point I needed the location of a patch and Thomas got back to me with that location so I had no issues with support. I made some mistakes at first in where I had people posting, but was able to move these topics around easily in the front end. Everything works perfectly--If I can do it anyone can. Thanks for an awesome extension!

I have tried Agora and other stuff before installing ccBoard. This is best. Fastest and easy to configure.

Really good Extension.
Easy to setup a forum.
It is not to overloaded as big forum softwares are sometimes. I need only basic function, and these are provided good by this forum.
There are some small issues to work around, but the developer seems to work on it and make it better.

Just installed, took 2 minutes to set up with out have to read a journal in order to configure. If everything was made this simple, I would have been down with my site yesteryear.
Thanks for a great integrated forum for my joomla.

A very good forum with all the basic features that you need, and a good selection of modules and plugins from the developer. A new set of fixes were released, and the update went without issue. Integrates OK with JomSocial profiles as well.

Even though setting up the forum is easy and fast but I agree with a poster below that there's not much support for people who are using it.
In my opinion, the overall goodness of the extension doesn't mean anything if a small problem is spoiling the entire setup. I would rather prefer a little inferior extension but with lots of support so that it actually works instead of being bogged down by a very simple solution that only the developer or an expert could provide.
They really need to step up and provide full-fledged support otherwise it will get really worse when number of users grow. I would prefer to stay away and stick with Kunena as they seem to have a full fledged team and all the problem seem to be resolved on their forums faster.
If the developers are reading this, I really salute your craftsmanship but PLEASE provide good support otherwise all the hard work you have put in will eventually go to waste. Just my two cents, forgive me if I said something wrong.

So easy to install and setup! I didn't believe the posts that said it took 15 minutes - until 15 minutes later when I had a working, configured forum. Very impressive, and thanks for the fantastic extension!

This is a great extention. Most of the time I'm frustrated with extentions because I have to jumb through hoops to get it to work. But this extentions was easy to install. I have my forum set up in 15 minutes with moderators assigned to the forum. And the documentation what easy to understand. Thanks so much!

Took no time at all to install and get running with no problems.
Simple to use. Exactly what I needed.
Many Thanks!

Well I've downloaded and installed this module with no real issues. I do have to say, until you get the hang of it, it can be a little confusing getting the lists and forums straightened out. The big issue I'm having is getting any support for it. I've posted 3 issues on their forum with not much help at all. One of my questions was answered on this forum not theirs (not to mention no email support either). I do see major potential and it's nice looking, but they really need to up their support before I can commit to this software.
