This is far the best forum extension i've used for my joomla sites. It works flawlessly with the messaging system i've created for our intranet. I thank the developers and more power to you guys.

Excellent work guys... the best forum i ever work

Although the development team is at times nonresponsive, and some answers in their support leave something to be desired in terms of politeness, the product is great, and the plugins are getting there. Even integration to tapatalk on the mobile is available, which is a very cool addition and enhances the availability tremendously.

Have recently installed latest Kunena on J1.7, and I have to say, you guys have just nailed it. Beautiful component, well behaved, and, my biggest wish fullfilled. That is, access to selected discussions can be limited by J1.7 user ACL.

I am using Joomla for so many years and I was having many problems with bridges to 3rd party scripts. Kunena is the best forum component for Joomla, excellent support and regular updates! Keep the good work.

This is mysecond installation -
1 I set up a 1.54 site and all went so easily well
2 I then created a 1.6 site and, again, installation and using it was a dream.

I had one problem and submitted a ticket - the response was in minutes - and we found that it was due to using Firefox 6 beta. Otherwise I still have no problems and am delighted with this excellent product and support

I am a web developer and have installed over 100 Joomla Websites.
I have setup many other Top Forums for clients who used CMS website and JOOMLA such as SMF and others.

I can assure you. Do not waste your time with another forum Component.
Features of Kunena that stand far above all the others out there from both the Web Developer and the Front End User standpoint? Total integration with Joomla, Log into Joomla and you are Automatically Logged into the Forum.. no need to re log into another forum.. Registrants to the website are automatically registered with the Forum as Members.. .too many to list.. Take my word for it.. Simply always use KUNENA as your Forum and Discussion Software if you use Joomla for your Website! Do not waste your time with anything else! Support is AWESOME as well.

Kunena is the best forum component for Joomla. Since version 1.6.x it has everything what forum should have. It has also any useful integrations with other popular extensions.

i give 5 stars to this component it is really awesome!!!! also have a really great support team!! i have to say this is the best component and support ever!

It's a great extensions, have been using it for years. The only issue I have is that it's damn easy for spam bots to attack! Other than that I have no issues.

Hi, I found this extension after must trial and errors with other products for discussion forum. I urge you to promote it more, so that newbies like me can find it! Also, more basic guideline as to how to install it (that first of all, it is an extension), and how to use Kunena menu, and add categories and topics - that would be cool.

Recently I had an issue where I had a website which i paid to have built but it never worked.. I wanted Kunena Forum on the site as I had seen how well it worked, however there were configuration issues left over from the original make. I requested help from KUNENA and I am so blown away by the fantastic support and help I recieved - What can I say = WONDERFUL PRODUCT - WONDERFUL SUPPORT - FANTASTIC CLIENT SERVICE.. I am so relieved to find an Ethical company...... this experience has restored my faith in people who work with components and websites. THANK YOU Michael you took your time, showed me via skpe everything you were doing, explained, and asked questions, went above and beyond the call of duty....if the rest of the team are like you, this project has definately got to fly ....

This is best forum for joomla, it use some data of joomla and template to run, don't need any bridges to conect!

But it can't better vBB or SMF, lost some feature, i hope Kunena will be better in next time!

I have never been on a help forum where 'sozzled' - the moderator (half way across the planet no less) actually offered to call me on Skype and talk me through my install issue... that is until now. It just took a couple of minutes to solve the problem which turned out to be an unstable Joomla version (1.6.0). I am grateful and astonished. And the best part is that Kunena really rocks! It has such incredible depth in its functionality. It really brings Joomla! to a whole new level.

I am pretno expert in Joomla, indeed I am definitely at the other end of the scale.

In the past I have used Agora, till they starting selling it and everything went downhill from their, and phpBB3 using a bridge from rockettheme.

However since moving to Joomla 1.6 I didnt have the option of phpBB3 as their isnt a bridge for Joomla 1.6 that I could find. So I started looking at other forums.

I had tried Kunena a year or so ago but opted for Agora. For me it was just better. But I decided to give kunena another try.

Boy am I glad I did. It installed without a problem, and NEARLY all of the backend stuff is self explanatory, or can be gleamed from the manual.

I did have one problem but that was due to a "clash" of css between a rockettheme template and Kunena itself. No problem, I put up a post in their Forum and after a few posts back and forth my problem was solved.

Has it got what phpBB3 has got? NO !!! But phpBB3 is a much more maturer product. But then again phpBB3 doesnt seemlessly tie into Joomla. Is it getting to a place of being as good as phpBB3? I think so. I reckon once version 2 is launched it will be competing very heavily with phpBB3 and the other PAID FOR forums.

Given its lack of "power" and "lack of functions" in some areas I must admit to have swithered about awarding Kunena a 4 or a 5. But then I remembered the support I had received. That for me tipped it over the edge to get a 5.

On the subject of support I must really say something about one of their Mods - Sozzled - (The man from Downunder) - I get the impression he doesnt suffer fools gladly ;-) but this guy goes that extrea mile to help, or at least that is my experience - Thanks again "Ironman", you are a credit to Kunena.

I've installed Kunena Last night (worked till 6 o' clock in the morning)on Joomla 1.6 on a Linux Ubuntu 11.04 Server and it Installed and Works like a Charm Man!
I've been testing and playing with the latest versions and I can see that you people have made great improvements to the script..

You saved my Life.
I've been waiting so long and especcially for this App.
I've also installed the Kunena Discuss plugin which communicates with the Forum and it works great. It creates such a great communication facility.. I'm telling you!

You know, Words are not enough to express my gratitude, for I know how much time, energy and love it takes to create this peace of digital Art!
