MySMS is standing for "Simple sms component" for Joomla. The MySMS component is now available for Joomla 1.0.x ( com_mysms-0.9.4.zip ) and for Joomla 1.5.x series ( use com_mysms-1.5.7.zip ).
This component supports following sms gateway provider today: w2sms, teleword, smskaufen, smscreator, sms77, sms4credits, mobilant, mesmo, clickatell, aspsms, nohnoh, mexado, innosend, suresms,compaya and hardwired, mobilenl, sloono, smsat and wannfind, agiletelecom, smsviainternet, infobip, at&t, smscom, coolsms, smsglobal, aruhat.
The following languages are supported: german, english ( italian, french, and danish cooming soon in a seperate install file )
If you need another provider, please contact me, i will implement it for your.
The component has a phone book and a archiv implemented. You can setup a sms limit for each user in backend.
It is also possible to setup advertisment messages for all sent sms, simply in the backend.

It would be the best solution if it would possible that customers/members could buy sms contingents/credits with some pyment plans or some other automatic payment system.
It`s too difficult that admins always have to assign credits to the users...

This is a terrific concept and well executed program. I'd very much like to see it with configuration with AT&T, which would, if I understand it, make this iPhone and Blackberry friendly.
If I missed how to do that in the U.S., slap me and please explain.

I've written Axel the other day. Instantaneous reaction - polite and competent. He included my SMS Gateway Provider within one day!

This component is - due to it's simplicity - very useful.
The installation is easy, and the configuration is very straight forward.
I asked if an implementation with the Dutch 'Mollie' provider could be made. Within a few days, 'Mollie' was implemented!

Not bad, you can use it as a starter, I modified it for English-Arabic use and for my SMS provider :) but in general it needs more work.

It's simple and easy to use, many german providers already in there!
If you are not german, it should not be difficult to add another, since many gateways provide instructions to customize scripts.
The only feature lacking for professional (home users as well in many cases) use is the capability to import address lists (txt, CSV, excel, mdb, no way!). I've got 2 thousand contacts, how can I manage to insert all?

Hi Teddy,
the user managment is based on joomla users. That means if a user has already a user account, it is able to send sms. In the next version 0.5.5 it is possible to publish a list of selected user in backend.

The interface is in German. I can't see any option to change the language.
I tested.. no bad very quikly but:
1) Installation file don't works (it's zipped 2 time without extension)
2) only german language
3) don't send ciryllic (for sure is possbile but only working on code)
4) HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM OF MAMBOTASTIC, no filter for users! to manage users you have to browse all page, bleah i have more of 3.000 users!
5) No support forum (not support from developer but exchange of ideas and hacks from who will use it will be nice)
This after 5 minutes i tested....
Finally i think is a good product, very simple to configure and works fast...
