MySMS is standing for "Simple sms component" for Joomla. The MySMS component is now available for Joomla 1.0.x ( com_mysms-0.9.4.zip ) and for Joomla 1.5.x series ( use com_mysms-1.5.12.zip ).
This component supports following sms gateway provider today: w2sms, teleword, smskaufen, smscreator, sms77, sms4credits, mobilant, mesmo, clickatell, aspsms, nohnoh, mexado, innosend, suresms,compaya and hardwired, mobilenl, sloono, smsat and wannfind, agiletelecom, smsviainternet, infobip, at&t, smscom, coolsms, smsglobal, aruhat, massenversand, smstrade.
The component has a phone book and a archiv implemented. You can setup a sms limit for each user in backend.
It is also possible to setup advertisment messages for all sent sms, simply in the backend.

As I always used this module with Joomla! in past, it is unfortunate to report that the developer has discontinued development of this module and there will be no further updates. I was reported this by e-mail. So, if you want to use this module, stick with Joomla! 1.5 or you'll have to find someone to redo the extension to make it compliant to the Joomla! 1.6.x version. I rated 4 stars because it is a nice extension, but minus a star because it is discontinued and not posted here it was discontinued.
I had a minor issue with the previous version of the component and contacted the author by email. The response was within an hour with thorough explanation and solution of the problem.
I will advise you to set a forum. That will decrease the emails that you have to answer and give you more time to develop the component even further.

I have to say that this is an awesome component! Thanks Axel. We were concerned when we could not find a forum for support so we contacted the developer. The response was the fastest possible response. Developers like this should be encouraged for more components! Thanks
this is truly a work of magic
very very will done author i never thought this can be that good
2 main remarks prevented me from the perfect mark
1- in the phone book Unicode isn't supported ( i cant put my contacts names in Arabic for example )
2- there is no support for the extension .... i tried the email support couple of times but got no response
i mean a simple forum could improve this component even much more

NONOH was change API and MySMS not working.
New SMS API is:

I wonder how many people have said this. :)
However can i add subcategory/subgroup for the group i created? E.g. Company group has IT subgroup, finanace subgroup..
I really this that this subgroup will make the searching more easily.

this component is all in one solution for sms websites but lacks some features like:-
the language of the alerts is in german.
new user is not auto activated.
doesn't send senders number with sms
no option to set no of characters in admin panel.
the fonts are big .doesn't suit the website,looks bad.
alignment of entry field is not same.
entering senders number is not user friendly.few users get it.

It very easy to install and use.
I installed this componement and followed the documentation. after 5 minutes to look into his code, I add my self the provider and it worked in the first tried.
I added the Rogers and Fido providers in Canada ... and I tested then SMS was sent and I receiced 100%.

Works just like it says, I live in Australia and just signed up with clickatell. Messages came through almost instantly.

Nice component but:
I have a problem with the smsglobal provider.
I configure the admin provider with user and pass for smsglobal
But when I click "send" appear a blank page...and nothing happend. The sms doesn't come on the phone.
What can I do, or what is the problem with smsglobal provider??
