This extension looked promising, but the developers didn't keep the promise. Major issues for me are: permissions system not working for different users in frontend AND backend, troubles with files management. Tech support has been totally unresponsive, not even replying to repeated technical mails and eventually to my request for refund. Money lost forever? maybe, maybe not: it seems that they're aware of great discontent from their customers, and they announced they're restructuring their business. Let's wait and see...

This product does NOT work. It looks good... but that is it. I would list all of the issues with it but that would take too long. There is no way they should be charginging this much for something that is very much a work in progress. I would look for a nother product if I were you...

Well, you can call it a project management tool - no offense guys, but you're not going to get much work done with the process flow set forth in this app. iGoogle or MS Office with shared calendars would be faster and offer more.

Suggestion - Remove the "Quote" and "Invoice" part of this and focus more on the overall architecture and use case. Joomla needs a good project app, not an all in one that isn't close to there yet.

I would say drop it in the public domain and hope for some donated improvements, but that would take too long.

On a good note - the interface is clean and the "Basic / Advanced" buttons worked really well in the project display!
I tried and tried, and tried again. And finally decided to ditch a component I paid $85 for, because it breaks after other component installations. My purpose for purchasing the software was to allow my clients access to project status, task, calendar, and file upload. After trying their online demo I decided to purchase the product. Mistake!

1) There are plenty of free and open applications that do the same job and better Project Pier, SugarCRM, and Achievo just to name a few. I picked jprojects, because it was a built specifically for Joomla!

2) Clients cannot view the calendar on the frontend.

3)I installed rokbridge and clients could no longer view project information on the frontend (No_Auth message). Thinking that it maybe related to rokbridge I uninstalled the application. Still did not work. I then uninstalled jproject without removing remaining db table and it still DID NOT work. I removed any reference to jproject and then reinstalled the app. Re-populated the data and finally it worked again... Then I installed Community Builder. Jproject once again could NO LONGER be viewed on the frontend by clients. This happened at least 3 times before I finally decided to just throw the app away. After months of trying to get this running with little success, I did a little research and found Project Pier to be the best solution for my needs.

On a side note... I also purchased JAccounts. It's a good application, but not exactly worth $85. Support also isn't exactly the best. When I first purchased jaccounts and had an issue with the installation the response was "we are running xampp with no problem". Not exactly answer I was expecting. My recommendation is save your money.
This component is not ready for download. The company is selling it as mature and/or stable, but there are all kinds of issues with it. It's truly beta software if not alpha. There are no funky error messages, but some of the major functions like file handling aren't working. The support from the company told us to use DocMan to move the files and setup a separate FTP account for each of the project users. What's the point?

Don't spend your money on this. It's a complete waste of time. I'm anxiously waiting for the upgrade to Project Fork to replace this poor component.
I purchased this software after trying their demo out and seeing it has all the features I need. But after purchasing the product I ran into problems.
However, the support staff for this product were more than helpful and spent part of their Sunday afternoon helping me hunt down the issue, which ended up being a setting in my php.ini file. So the issue was not their software but my server. Many kudos to the guys at joomlaextreme, they went above and beyond their call of duty and resolved my issue.
Install was fast and easy. I had a few questions about this extension specific to my configuration and received a reply almost immediately every time. Community feedback and support is very active on their forum. This relatively new product has grown quickly, and with the dedication these guys have to their customers, it's easy to see why! Check it out on the demo server to see how it works.
Very expensive for what it is, have had numerous issues with installation as there is NO documentation to help with. Is sold separately to other products from the same company but doesn't seem to work without spending even more money on the other products, very disappointed

Documentation is being produced. jProjects does work completely independently of other products. We offer a dedicated support system as well to handle individual problems. Version updates are being released consistently to handle bugs.
