A simple plugin that beautifies and extends Joomla rating system.

There is a couple of solutions in the creators forum for positioning and controlling repeated votes.

Some other reviewers report that it doesn't work with JoomlaComment. It does have a little problem with one of the 6 templates (MT, from mootools) of JoomlaComment, but it is easy to solve turning off the "Include javascript library" in the comments backend or just using a different template.

i loved this plugin.. but it conflicted with my Simple Image Gallery plugin & i have a whole section on my website dedicated to my galleries so it was quite disappointing.

nevertheless this is a beautiful plugin, it works flawlessly after installation, didn't even need to configure a thing!

This plugin beautifully replaces the stock Joomla ratings circles with stars - which is what you would EXPECT to see in a ratings system in the first place! In addition, the parameters you can set in this extension include making it so that an IP address can vote only once, or can vote once every 24 hours, or you can choose from several other intervals. The rating that appears includes not only stars, but shows the average of all of the votes thus far ("1.7 out of 5", for example). And yes, the AJAX is very cool looking, too. I rate this extension five STARS. And to the developer: thank you VERY much for an excellent contribution to the Joomla community - you are to be commended.

Very impressed with this module, simple but perfect. It does in fact replace the ugly standard joomla bubbles and replaces it with the beautiful stars. It is ajax and updates in real time. Love the module thanks!

I downloaded, installed, configured and got this plugin working in under 3 minutes!

It was easy to setup and configure - nothing to configure really except disable the default content rating system.

I was worried that it would not work because I was using !JoomlaComment, and someone else commented that the combination did not work for them. Well, it worked for me. No problems.

Great work, guys! The ajax-based star ratings are a nice improvement to the little bubble things that the J! core uses...classy. ;)

wish there was more abilities to make adjustments

Hello there, i am currently trying to use the VOTItaly plugin and it has been installed and everything yet i am unsure of how to get it to display on my frontend. I am having the same problem with every vote/rating plugin i try to install to the page. Should it automatically be visible to the content? or is there something else that needs to be set in order for it to be seen on specific content?

Your help is much appreciated.

Great little plugin, but it lacks to show zero votes as stars. So on category, section or front pages some articles shows voting stars but no stars if there are no votes. I wish you can customize it like on plugin "extravote"

I had been scouring the web for a good star rating system. Even built myt own using JS+AJAX. But this one is smooth and good.

I really like this plugin. Don't forget to disable the deafult joomla rating plugin called: Content - Rating, otherwise you will get the default rating + this rating plugin above your article!

If you would like to change the language, just edit the en-GB.plg_content_ji_votitaly.ini file in you admin/languages/en-gb folder!

One of the nicest looking rating (or starring) plugins.
I would use this on all my joomlasites .... if it worked on all of them ...

But sadly there seems to be an issue or conflict with Joomlacomment?
On pages where the Joomlacomponent is active, it does not seem to work.

No issues at all on my sites without Joomlacomment!

I hope it gets fixed, because I would like to use this one over all other rating/starring plugins

Best ratings plugin, but it misses some very important features. Like - how many stars to display, different stars templates. I hope we will see these features in the next release.
