I followed the steps of installing both plug inns into my joomla site. After spending about an hour as I couldn't get the icon to show in my articles I simply went to their site and register to obtain the code which I just placed inside my template HTML. After that, everything works just fine. I wish though I can control which pages the sharethis icon would appear and hopefully developers will help clairify all the existing bugs. Anyways, congrats to a job well done.
Does what it is supposed to do.
One little problem - the icon wasn't showing up. I went to the support site and they had the suggestion to point to http://w.sharethis.com/images/share-icon-16x16.png
which i did and it showed up.
I reckon this is the best Social Bookmarking extension as it is minimal on the page but has a lot of options.

I had to get help from the ShareThis developers though in order to get the email function to work. It turned out the markup in my clients content was causing script conflicts.

You can disable the content in admin though then it works fine and just sends a link plus the page title.

Maybe in future versions this will be fixed.

Also at the time of writing the default icon url is wrong, get the correct one from ShareThis and change it in admin.

Apart from that - all good! :)
I was 'this' close to giving this 5 stars. It had what I exactly wanted. A simple interface where I could publish a sharethis icon next to the standard joomla print/email/pdf ones.

Well when I installed this plugin, everything seemed exactly perfect... Until I tested it in other browsers.

When published in the icon area, the sharethis icon did not show up in IE7, Chrome, Safari, and in Opera the button was out of position.

Almost had it. Maybe a fix is in the future, but until then an average rating for a fine product in concept, but not in delivery.
In my first impression, i was very pleased. But after i check my pages with w3validator, it shows various errors. And after unpublished, all errors gone. Therefore, i deactivate this plugin in my site [with Joomla 1.5.9]. Who does not care about the validation of W3, its an excellent Plugin to them. I have to rate it as good.

N.B. To the developers: Please solve the W3 validation issues, then I and some other people like me may use it again.

awesome. sweet. installed easily. except the content install failed first time (broke connection - had to reenter my cms admin site). Reintalled and dont forget to enable via 'plugin manager'.

voila button was there beside 'read more' button. and a nice little 'share' button at bottom of my article.

I suppose it would be wise to test end to end and ensure the connection to each of the share sites works.

good work.
I love this plugin. It integrates nicely. I'm glad to have finally found a bookmarking plugin that works properly with Joomla!
There is only 1 major problem. I cannot access my site using Internet Explorer 6 if this plugin is active. Anyone using IE6 to access my site gets that weird pop-up error window that says "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site. Operation aborted."
By the way, I get the same error if I try to get to http://www.wijiti.com usign IE6.
Of course, this plugin is very useful in giving people the functionality of Sharethis on their websites... but its not the most agile implementation - unlike existing sharethis extensions for Wordpress and Drupal, you can't selectively include the Sharethis icon in article footers/headers/etc per category or via Joomla's menu item management; so the only inclusion options for it with this plugin seem to be in content using a {sharethis} tag or automatically in a certain position, *for every post on your site*!
It would be perfect for me if this could be a module as well to allow for greater options for positioning. I'd love to add the ShareThis icon beside the print, email, and pdf icons, or in another module position.

Before and after the content just doesn't look right on my site.
I've never found COMMERCIAL software that has support as good as NoNumber!

If you're debating between this and some other solution, get a NoNumber product (they have several) just because their support can't be beat, even by commercial software.

Installs quickly and can be set to automatically include a subtle link. My client wanted something subtle, but I wanted to increase her marketing potential. This is a very easy, classy looking compromise.

If you write content on your website, this is a must have. Highly recommended

It's easy to install and the support is lightning fast!!...
I also was looking for a social media button and I believe this is an excellent plug-in (the best one in my opinion).

You can select which social media function you would like to offer in your articles and yet is all managed in one good looking button, it also allows you to change the default colors and/or change the css.

After spending countless hours looking for a good looking, quality social bookmark plug-in, I decided to then try ShareThis. I really liked the design and everything that comes with it. However, I could never install it. Great plug-in, zero easy installation--for Joomla! I also looked for help and it seemed like everybody was having the same problem. I would recommend and re-install this plug-in if the ShareThis team makes it workable--again, for Joomla! users.

This is great and does exactly what it says on the tin.
