Updated - Version 1.3 - July 24, 2009
Bug fix that was in some cases not honoring the exclude section and category inheritance. For example, if you exclude a section id, no article within that section should display the button.
Updated - Version 1.2 - June 15, 2009
Bug Fix:
Found a bug that was preventing the embedded stylesheet from working properly. Specifically, in version 1.1, you would see this in the stylesheet:
* .a2a_dd img {border;0′ }
That single quote after the 0 meant in most browsers the following styles would be ignored. Thus, if you tried to apply your own styling to the addtoany button, chances are it would not work. So the only change to 1.2 is to remove that single quote. If you've made custom changes to 1.1 yourself, you can find fix it yourself on line 30 of AddToAny.php.

Plugin that adds a single image for all social networking sites (digg, reddit, facebook, deli.cio.us, stumbleupon, etc.). The button is automatically updated and maintained by addtoany.com, so you can use a single button instead of trying to update and maintain many buttons for the latest social bookmarking craze (see their site for a button demo). It looks cleaner on your site to have just one button and you can choose to have it displayed before or after page content. Plugin includes the option to use one of several pre-defined buttons, or you can use your own image or text for the link.
Also when someone bookmark my frontpage it is bookmarked as gamestoebuilder.com/frontpage, I have removed the "frontpage" by using Artio JoomSEF so I would like an option to not include the "frontpage" and just have it be bookmarked as "gamestorebuilder.com"
I fixed a couple of w3c validation issues in the new version, 1.4
I'm not sure how to remove the /frontpage from your bookmark. It's likely an issue/conflict with the JoomSEF plugin
Is there a way to make it appear only on click ?
looked in the php file for the 'a2a_onclick' variable but couldn't find it.
appearing on mouse over is irritating for me.
How can I choose the icons to show in the module ?
Thanks a lot
Hi-
I've added the option to make the list appear only on click in version 1.4. It's a toggle now so be default it works as before, but you can edit it in the configuration.
Right now, the plugin does not support the ability to select which icons show in the module. However, I believe the plugin automatically detects what services the client uses (e.g., Digg, Delicious, etc.) and displays those options first.
Thanks
The plugin also allows you to exclude the button on any number of articles, categories and/or sections which is a necessary function because you will likely have pages where you don't want the button to appear. When I had a problem with the exclusions not working, the creator immediately started diagnosing the problem and fixed it so it worked on my site. Needless to say, the support is five stars as well.
Thank you for your work!
Only problem I have: the custom CSS that you can select in the configuration backend seems to be ignored, as far as I can see, so I had to put custom html with a style attribute in the button text itself to place and color the button as I liked. This works well, but it's really not very elegant ;)
But aside from that, a really good plugin.
Sorry about that. I just found and fixed a bug in the stylesheet that addresses this problem. See my notes about version 1.2 for details.
Also, for this to be truly great, it needs to be able to put into every page, not just blog posts. I am developing a site that serves calendars, docs and info, and user communities. These also would be great to have the option for people to bookmark!!!
Make that happen, and you will be making a great tool!
Hi-
Thanks for the feedback. I just finished an update to the plugin version. I'll look into creating a module as well so you have the ability to show on non-article pages.
Bill
The second problem is, this plugin did not offer multi-language support. Though there is not too much language strings on the interface, it is better to make it multi-lingual.
Hi-
Thanks for the feedback. I am working on a new version now that will address both of your concerns, plus some other features. Please check back in a few days for an updated release.
