Although this is a decent component, it does in fact lack administrator account protection against registration removal. The developer website is also unavailable and the component needs updating to include the administrator account protection feature.
Overall the component is useful, but could be dangerous if a user were to compromise the form on a website front-end.

Having this option is essential for larger websites as you want to allow users to be able to unregister on their own accord without pointing their fingers at you. Great extension!
To the user who deleted their own admin account, what were you thinking???? Why not just create a test account and try from there? I just don't understand some people sometimes...
I agree with you there should be some warning for this extension, but why try it out on your own admin account?
It appears that there is no longer support for this component, maybe because the last update to it was so long ago? Are the developers around to make a warning to this extension? That would be nice for users to have in case they change their mind or click the wrong button.

I made a test with this component today. When I login in as the Super Admin and tried to delete my account, this component has NO special warning or rejection, just warned me like common registered users, then after I click the button, my SuperAdmin account was also deleted.
It is lucky that this is my testing website.
I think this component should never delete the Superadmin account.
What's more, hope the author will add language file and made those pre-difined warnings and button texts translatable.
Thanks.

This is a great component, although you don't want your users leaving your site, you know that they will eventually get sick of your updates and want to leave, this is good because it allows that user to leave without having to go through to the user manager.
I recommend it to be put into joomla

This should be an option in the core. Every membership site should allow users to delete their accounts.
It would be nice to see an extension developed that would "store" a deleted account, like Facebook does. If a previous member decides to re-instate their account, all the information is restored.
