This is an optimal solution if you want to:
1) Have your members to appear on other sites
2) Join member lists across multiple sites
3) Load members into external devices like mobile phones
The component allows you to set up multiple feeds, each having a unique URL. Each feed has its own security key so you can distribute this to appropriate users.
Feeds include username, full name, address, phone number, etc. This allows developers to build modules to retrieve contact information for sales related sites and so on.
