This is a great component for keeping track of various tasks. Having only just set my site up, I used it as a reminder for the content and maintenance I wanted to do.
It's very simple to install and set up. You'll be using it within minutes. Highly recommended.

What a slick and easy to set up component. I can tell know why they call their company The Thinkery, because for once, its clearly evident that they really think through their components. Out of the box it works like a champ and you certainly cant beat the price!

I had a couple issues with some mods I needed to make for my custom projects, but when I got stuck, the support responded immediately and patiently guided me through a fix. They also informed me a new version is due to be released soon for easier modifications, which will be sweet!

Great support makes all the difference and for a free component its pretty amazing.

I think the best part of the component is the simplicity of the entire design, front end and most importantly in the code. It pretty simple to move things around or change fields if you know some simple php.

More Simply put, if you need a project log, get this and forget the rest.

I have installed this component and being playing with it for a couple of hours and am very impressed.

I would like the option to allow the Job number (or a reference column) to be incrememntal and auto-genrated so it has a unique number.

This has been an absolutely outstanding little ext.

Not only did the install run smoothly but it only took 10-15 minutes to get familiar with the functionality of the entire component. Outstanding job making this so user friendly and self explanatory.

I'm looking forward to seeing the features you guys will be adding in the future. Here are a couple of features I would be excited to see:

1) Ability to format the descriptions with links, imgs, etc.

2) As already mentioned in another review, ability to define how far along that 'In Progress' project really is

and 3) Ability to customize the project detail fields including the release num, workorder num, contract to/from, etc etc.

Otherwise, thanks for contributing this great component. I'll definitely be following this one.

ProjectLog was just what I was looking for. An easily adaptable tool for displaying our small list of projects.

I was able to easily tailor this to our own particular needs and even the couple of issues I struggled with were very quickly resolved by the excellent support team.

I am always constantly surprised that there are some superb developers in the Joomla community who will happily give their time and advice for free.

ProjectLog - can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent product and would recommend it to anyone needing project management.

Additionally, what is really cool is when I called the developer to get support on a downloading issue. They were ahead of the power curve.

Suggestions :
- integrate with DOCMAN (a documents management extension) or some other document management extension so you can upload documents to one spot and just link to them. I use docman which is the only reason I mention docman.
- allow for email notifications for when projects are added, and/or updated so all persons involved are updated rather than having to log in to get an update.
- allow for email notifications to an external email address so a group of people could be updated on the status of the project. I would imagine that for large projects you might have to update a team of people.
- allow for a way to get back to the list of projects rather than clicking a menu link
- allow for a way to have a field for the client email so they are updated when changes are made or comments added
- for the status of "in progress" add in the ability to do percentages...this is trivial but will save a lot of emailing. 1% in-progress is technically the same as 99% in-progress, but realistically is vastly different from one another. Especially when you are close to billing.
- have a bubble pop up when you hover over your fields so there is a bit of explanation on what the fields do or are meant to do.
- have a back end component that allows you to create categories for the type of project it is.
- find some way to make some money off this....this is a good product and I think people would buy it from you. The fact that I was able to speak to you on the first call tells me a lot about the support!!!

I'm sure there are other things that I'll think of but this is a start. I still say GREAT JOB though!!!!

I almost gave four stars only because this nifty little component didn't have a timer, which I specifically needed - but I didn't have the heart - so 5 it is! Other than the timer thing, it is a very nice, very useful tool for anyone with different types of ongoing projects they need to track. Very cool! And when I needed help making it fit my template's layout, he was ON it incredibly quickly with the perfect fix. Highly recommend this one and its author!

So easy - works out the box - without a manual or a weeks training. Nice, basic and will satisfy 80% of the time. No learning curve - 100% productivity. thanks !
I have used this extension on two sites and think it a rather marvelous little program. The only thing I thought it could use, was WYSIWG Editor support and maybe some breadcrumb support.

I did mention this to the developers and they responded within 24 hours and with an optimistic report on adding it possibly to later versions.

Can't beat that. Great extension, easy to install, great response from staff. 5 star every time.

Thanks for your kind review-- we are working on a version 1.5.2 version that we hope to release soon, that will have more finely-tunable permissions, with more granular ACLs.

It's easy to install and works great!

It is also highly cutomisable, even for a n00b like me and in case of need you get a quick help!
This extension is easy to install and use. The support team responds to questions immediately.

This is great for online project collaboration.

Very nice, just what I was needed. Don't really need a full blown app for simple tasks and to do's. Would like to see more of these type of light versions, like I'm in need of a contact/phone directory, that users can add info to on the front end.

Very nice!

I've tried some project management apps that needed not just a users manual but classroom training before anyone could master how to use it, let alone configure it. ProjectLog with its no-nonsense approach will certainly make my life easier if the simple installation and set-up are any indications. couldn't find any glitches after the installation and initial trial.
