2. You can now choose between the Standard button or a Compact button.
3. You can exclude or include the button from specific Section, Categories or Articles.
4. You can define your own CSS for the button placement or background.
5. This and future versions will not need the previous version to be uninstalled first.
We have developed a Joomla 1.5 Native plugin that adds a nice "TweetThis" button to your Joomla articles. Its very simple, lightweight and looks good on any site. When your users discover content on your site and tweet about it, it will boost your site traffic. The plugin provides a fully integrated URL shortener and the story or page’s title. Each link that is posted on Twitter adds increments to the counter on that story/articles button. The more tweets a story receives, the more popular it becomes! The compressed files are only 4kb and 10kb uncompressed, all the action happens with one small line of javascript javascript.
What Inspired This ?
Most similar plugins support submitting your content to many Social Networking sites, while having it's obvious advantages, a plugin like tweety that may add unwanted scripts to your site or require you or your Client having to either edit xml files or make sometimes complicated configuration settings or adjust CSS files. Something that your client may not appreciate or understand.
A recent project required a 'Tweet This" link in articles that would enable site visitors to tweet/re-tweet an articles Title and link. There was no existing Joomla module or plugin that fit the requirements for one or the other reasons, thus Tweetme was born.Where did it come from ?
Tweetme relies on the API provided by Tweetmeme.
PLEASE NOTE;
A few sites are "hosting" our extensions without our knowledge so if you did not download from our site, we cannot guarantee the script.

Thanks for the review and your appreciation : )
Easy install, 20 seconds to adjust the settings to my liking, and it works like a charm.
For those who use Zoo on their website, this plugin will be perfectly integrated to your Zoo items as well as the normal joomla articles !
To be absolutely perfect, a "0" in place of the "?" when no retweets have been posted wuld be the cherry on top of the cake.
Kudos to the team who made this !
Thanks for taking the time to Review, it is appreciated. The question mark is out of my hands as it is an API issue with the Tweetmeme service.
http://yourls.org/
Thanks for the Review. The issue is that I have added all the URL shorteners that I am allowed to by the Tweetmeme API. Tweetmeme has control over this, not I or any other person out of the Tweetmeme Service.
As and when they add more URL Shortener support, I will add them. Currently the one you request is not supported.
Glad you appreciate this and thanks for taking the time to Review.
I am complete newbie to twitter, only signed up 2 days ago and this plugin was simple even for me!
great work.. thanks =)
Thanks for the Review, much appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to Review.
I saw an issue which turned out to be a bit.ly API problem (thus not related to the plug-in itself!). I reported it and received an exact answer within a matter of hours. I don't think you can reasonably ask for better support on a free component!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the Super Review, it is appreciated : )
Thanks for the Review, glad you find it valuable.
I also recommend their Followme module also, which is just very Tweetable and easy also.
Thanks I'll be watching for more great little tools.
Thanks for taking the time to Review.
This is so far good for visitors but not for authors. Could you point out the auto twitter updates for authors or the site as a whole.
Thankss for taking the time to Review. This plugin does not and will not feature having your articles being auto tweeted. That's a whole different story altogether, with a lot of possible issues and one star ratings. If you want, you can discuss it on our Support Forums.
What I really liked was the customization part.
The possibility of define the css was an excelent idea!
And, of course, the tweet itself works perfectly!
Tks!
Thanks for taking the time to review. Your appreciation is all we need.
Thanks for the review, I appreciate it.
Thanks so much for the non commercial component as well.
Thanks for the positive review, Glad you love it.
However, it took me over an hour to configure to work perfectly for my requirements.
Here are my learning and suggestions:
1. It works excellently for articles. Would strongly recommend using it within.
2. I was unable to get it to come as a part of the title. It came only as a part of the intro text. Not sure whether the issue was my inability to figure it out or otherwise.
3. I was using Joomlaworks to call articles which had videos in module positions. If others are doing the same please exclude such articles immediately as they will throw your template out of whack.
4. Usage in sections and categories works, but did not sit well in my design as the tweet comes in the area where you mention what the section / category is about and has variable height issues. Also if u have left the section / category description blank, the tweet will not show.
5. The frontpage view also did not work for me.
That said, I still really like this extension, and look forward to future versions of it to make it more functional.
Great effort, and thanks again.
Arjun
Thanks for taking the time to review. The plugin used to have a simple one step configuration, however users made many requests to be able to exclude sections, categories, individual articles etc, so these options were added recently, so if you leave everything at default it will shown everywhere in normal Joomla output in all possible layouts.
I have not tested this with third party content type extensions, The position of the buttun can be adjusted from the plugin parameters. Try our support forum for more help.
