I have used this extension on several sites. It is easy to install, configure, and support. It is the best comment extension I have tried. The developers are quick to respond to support questions, and are very helpful in troubleshooting any issues that you may encounter. A+

I have been trying several commenting system for my Joomla website. Finally I landed using !JoomlaComment from compojoom. I feel this is the best non-commercial commenting system available. Their comment system back-end interface is simple, elegant, intuitive and easy to learn as well.

Another feature that makes !JoomlaComment more reliable is, it supports several anti-spam features like Captcha, AKISMET (my favorite), IP Ban and so on.

Another noteworthy feature of !JoomlaComment is their Forum Support. Daniel and team responds to support queries in a timely manner. Their forum support is top class.

Overall, very good non-commercial comment system. Highly recommended for people looking for opensource solution for commenting system.

I put on the newest ver (4.0 Beta 2) and the commenting works great on the public site. When I try open it on the back end to change or view configuration it gets php Parse Error and will not load any config pages.

Since it is a beta version I can not really complain, it does work as-is.

Boy, I was looking for something like this software, and even tried another one, but like I said, I never seen before a more uncomplicated software! It's just a easy install, setup and boom! There you, go with all functions working without a problem! Thanks for the developers, your software rocks!

I have installed about 4 different commenting apps before coming across this one. One I paid for and don't like it as much as this!

This enables threaded comments (my paid one didn't)It is simple to configure and install - I had one little issue with some CSS styling disappearing once logged in to my site but resolved that through the app's Forum.

White leads to me to say that the Forum's support is 1st class. The author responds very fast and I had my issues sorted in a matter of hours!

All in all, very good and just what I was looking for. Is is 100% perfect for me? No. Does it all that I want? No.
BUT is it stable and usable out of the box! And it does all it says it does. Thank you!

This extension is everything that is says it is. It has a lot of functions that I didn't even know that I was getting. The only thing I would change is for the comment system to be a WYSIWYG editor - but that is a lot to ask.

This component can easily be configured to do whatever you wish, more than any other component out there.
If you don't know how to configure simple backend settings, I suggest you ask for support at compojoom support, and I'm sure they'll be happy to explaing to you how to achieve the desired function.

Nice extension, good range of templates. Unfortunately it has a javascript issue with IE 7, and causes the debug box (for those with this option on) to keep popping up on every page load or each time the comment box is opened. Maybe having the comment box open all the time will solve this, but that looks messy in my opinion.

This may make it unusable for a lot of people which is a shame as otherwise it is a great extension.

This platform is so easy to work with, well done! Awesome features and is exactly what I'm after.

It's free, it is a one-size only plugin and it's a little flaky. I tried it out and quickly experienced:
- Spelling mistakes in integrated help, should it really be {joscommentenable} ?
- Unable to place {joscommentenable} in my article text and have site-wide comments turned on - instead you get the "joscommentenable" text displaying in all your articles! Ugly!
- The per-article commenting stopped working after toggling it on and off. I couldn't get it working again.
- No configurability to turn off all the smileys and generally bulky comment box if you don't want it on your website!

Suitable for a very simple comment system, but this release leaves a lot to be desired. Flaky and won't try again till a major upgrade, hopefully including documentation.

I use Josc on many installations and i also developed Josc support for my component and have to say that it is the very best Comment Extension out there.

It's very flexible and easy to integrate for your purpose. I also never discovered any bugs and the support was always fast and friendly!

It's almost perfect. I only found one fault: it has not "spam" tab. So if something is detected as spam, you get it on the main post list, not like wordpress, that divides the contents in 3 tabs, approved, spam, unapproved.

But if you don't care that, this is the commenting extension for your site, fast, reliable, with ajax posting, lots of options, easy to install, easy to add latest comments module, links to almost any type of content element, just pefect!

This is a great extension for article commenting. It has lots of configurable option to fit virtually any need. After trying few commenting extension I found it best and I'm using it in many websites.

I was concerned that my mxcomment data would be lost or that I would have to manually enter it in the database. I was particularly surprised that this compenent had the mapping feature and mapped all my mxcomment data for me in seconds. I haven't tried editing the template, but I'm glad that's also made so convenient.

Great must have extension, very easy to install, configure and manage,

it have Captcha, Ban, Censorship but should enable akismet spam protection otherwise you will get lot of spams
