From my point of view, comments is basically a close call between JoomlaComment (this one) and the one from Azrul.
I have tried both, and am extremely satisfied with both. I ended up using this JoomlaComment because it keeps aspect ratio on avatar placements.
The one support issue I had was answered and solved inside an hour or so. (Yeah, it was my fault).

Love the compoment! Is there any way to get the CB profile pics "avatars" to show next to the latest comments in the module? It seems to just show the text of the latest comments but no option for the CB user profile pic next to the comment.. Is there something I am missing or has this not been implemented yet?

this is really excellent component.
Easily possible to change the look and template of any part of the script. What gave me the opportunity to look fit with comments page. Last comments with dimensions that you choose an avatar!
Also good thing is YomTube plug-in, which is my video gallery made interesting and I got more visitors,
people all the recommendations!

Just what I was looking for! No problems with setup, using it with Community Builder, or anything else so far.
Only thing I have been trying to figure out though was how to add a {username} value along with the preview date/time/text of the post. It won't seem to grab and will only show the date / time values with the preview text. I tried browsing the forums but could not find a solution.
Other than that, great work! I'd recommend this also because it is easily customizable with clean templates to start from.

I had a problem with the pictures in the posts (code [img][/img]). I asked for support on the forum and the support was just excellent! The problem I had, was a setting in the backend of my site, it wasn't a bug! I use this script for many years and this is the script that everyone should use, it's just excellent! I look forward to an update and more options for the posts! Keep the good work guys!

Easy to use, very flexible comment system offers a lot of features without being fussy. You can customize it extensively, but it also works very well out of the box. Importation feature is handy if you're replacing an earlier system.
If there was any comment system that should have been part of the Joomla 1.5 core, this is it.

Registration to download was easy, installation was easy, plugin for comments to front page, good idea. Nice works like a charm in 20 seconds :)

I've tried some of the other comment extensions an I defenetly stick with this one. Very easy to install, neat layout, very customizable and does everything I need.
The support is also great, and they seem to work on it on a good pase. It's a doos choice with no doubt.

I have used this extension on several sites. It is easy to install, configure, and support. It is the best comment extension I have tried. The developers are quick to respond to support questions, and are very helpful in troubleshooting any issues that you may encounter. A+

Nothing to say it is a very good component , it is has a lot of options to customize it to your joomla based website

I have been trying several commenting system for my Joomla website. Finally I landed using !JoomlaComment from compojoom. I feel this is the best non-commercial commenting system available. Their comment system back-end interface is simple, elegant, intuitive and easy to learn as well.
Another feature that makes !JoomlaComment more reliable is, it supports several anti-spam features like Captcha, AKISMET (my favorite), IP Ban and so on.
Another noteworthy feature of !JoomlaComment is their Forum Support. Daniel and team responds to support queries in a timely manner. Their forum support is top class.
Overall, very good non-commercial comment system. Highly recommended for people looking for opensource solution for commenting system.
