Simple to install and works well. Just setup an account at disqus and type in your username in the extension plugin settings.

"Yahoo sign in" feature has been added to disqus comment by Disqus.com developers. People can sign in disqus through their Yahoo accounts.

When do you think adding this new feature to joomla disqus plugin?

I like it, the way it looks and works but weak point is i still cant find the documentation so had to rnd myself..

I've been using the first version for a while, on a limited basis. I was very happy with it's ease of use and implementation but the single biggest downfall was not having the ability to turn on comments based on categories/sections/pages etc. The new version now allows selection by either category or menu item. This was the last piece of the puzzle to make this a first class plugin. Disqus/Facebook/Twitter login options work seamlessly. The only issue I had was with uninstalling the previous version. I had to manually delete the old directory in order to complete the upgrade.

Sign up for a Disqus account and give this plugin a try. It's simple and well worth it.

Works out of the box - you obviously have to create a Disqus account first, but it is a powerful commenting system which is configurable from the Disqus site. Early days but no spam yet! Thank you.

Especially in terms of spam comments a pretty good plug is a good protection on my system I never experienced any problems

I was looking for a commenting component ( very few good ones ) and I thought I'd give this a shot, seeing how this developer has plenty of very nice extensions for Joomla. It wasn't what I was looking for and I for the life of me couldn't uninstall it. It said the plugin was removed but the comment for remained on the site until I had to manually delete files and install a different extension.

As the title says - this plugin simply works! A seamless integration between joomla and disqus

I have problems with Internet Explorer 6 and 7. The browser freezes. No problem with Firefox, Opera and Safari.
JW has insured that with the version 1.1 the issue would have disappeared, but there is still.
However, it is a great idea, especially because DISQUS is a great comments system. We look forward of the improvements!

I have gone down the line of comment systems, was able to install most of them, but they just would not work for the life of me. I am having an ftp problem, not sure. So I tried this one, it rocks, and you get a little more out of its use. More exposure anyhow. Great job.

I want to use Disqus plugin. But I noticed that the frontend interface of Disqus comment system has no multi-lingural support, it only shows English language. And the Disqus plugin can't choose specified section or category. Not good.
