This is a really good extension. It works straight out of the box and the set up is extremely simple.
I used this extension for a family website so family and friends could comment on blogs and pictures without having to log in or sign up and it works perfectly.

This extension is easy to install and use, maybe as suggestions I could say that I would have liked:
- comments form only displayed when user clicks on "add a comment" link, even if there is just one article on the page
- a "view users comments" link along with "add a comment" that would expand and show other users comments and propose a link (but not the whole form) to add a comment
Correcting the english is not my primary concern as my viewers are mainly Chinese used to Chinglish ;-)

Honestly the plugins works like a charm. The developer was very quick and informative with his response on my inquiry regarding the product... and as the developer promises the newer version will be another blast for users. Can't wait... BOTH THUMBS UP. keep up the good work.

Got it working in about a minute and it looks nice. Definitely better than I expected. Only criticisms a) when it installs it says "for joomla 1.5 and 1.7" (but is listed for and seems to work fine in 2.5). Also, the phrase "Tell us what do you think" is kind of weak English.
Joocomments is just what I needed! To the point!!!

Plugins SBTT and SmoothToTop (to go to the top of the page) will only work if joocomments is activated in the tab of the Editor.
If you disable the comments of a particular article to not show the comments, the plugins do not work.

Well, I am coming along in my understanding of building Joomla sites. I have 1.7 installed and really couldn't find a comment component to work for me. When I first installed JooComments some months ago I was pretty satisfied. Then, I found out there was a new version. It was everything that I hoped for... and it serves my purposes well. Keep up the good work and thank you for standing behind your project. Great job!
I'm relatively new to Joomla, and web coding in general. However, I am surprised at how few good article comment extensions there are. After trying several, I found JooComment and have been fairly pleased with the results.
The extension installs easily, and is relatively easy to configure. I'm looking forward to the additional features in the next release (i.e. customizing the editor buttons).
I really like the auto-approve function and email notifications. However, I would also like to see comments auto-publish without the commentator needing to refresh the page.
Still, as free extensions go, the developer has done a great job with this one. With a few minor tweaks, it could rise to the top in this lacking area of Joomla extensions.

Im very happy with the way it works, looks and its set super easily, however I´d like to find new features:
- a way to be able to be subscribed to the threads as a commentator.
- Also that the system would send an automatic response to the participant every time somebody writes.
- Nested comments.
Looking forward for the update at the end of the month, as I read in here. Let´s see if it brings good stuff!

If you're looking for a simple and reliable commenting system for your site, this is it.
I looked through a lot of different options for a comment system on my music site before finding this component, and I have to say it is brilliant. It works straight out of the box, and is very simple to set up. I started with v1.01 which was pretty limited in features, however very simple to use. After upgrading to the current version which allows email notifications, I was having a small problem with the system working, and contacted the developer who was very quick to reply, and helped walk me through the problems until we found a solution to the problem.
I am looking forward to the new version coming out later this month, and can definitely recommend this extension to anyone needing a comment system on their site.

I use this extension in Joomla 1.7 and works fine. I found it after testing a lot of others. This was the best for me cause I can enable or disable comments for each article seperately. Also I can choose which comments to approve or not. I begin with the english version and I tried to translate to Greek in my site. It was easy to do so, except one particular world that didn't change in Greek language. The developer helped me immediately and with his help, the extension works fine now in my language. His response was quick and very helpful. Problem solved. Try out this extension and you will not regret it.
What's up guys, i have a nice story about the comment-system here. At first, the JooComment-System is a great thing for you're webside to become more feedback. The second thing is it's very easy to use and to configure on Joomla :-) !!!
In the first time i use this comment-system i have an error in Internet Explorer, but that was not a problem for the support-team on this side... I,ve write down an bug report on this side and help comes in under 4 houers :-) A personal supporter help me withe my problem and in 30 minutes the problem was solved!!!

After struggling with kunena discuss, udja comment, yvcomment etc I landed on this one. Thanks God I did! Life saver! And the other life saver was Joo reCaptcha I got from the same developer I believe. Simple, easy, does what it says: What else do you want? User interface is extraordinary. Don't waste your time with other complicated options. This is the one! Thanks Joo, you must be commended for the ease of use of your applications. Thanks a billion...
