Greetings Susanne
I had one problem though: After installing jcomments, it worked fine for a week and one day all my comment username (front end)/e-mails (back end) fields were deleted. I posted on their forum and got reply right away. Next I had pagination issues, and I got quick solution. For a free extension, I did not expected this kind of support. Featurewise this is a great component and with excellent support, I would rate this Excellent. Keep it up !
Pro:
Super Easy to Install
Look/Feel Awesome
Con:
Lacks the ability to flag or report spam comments
Conclusion:
It is really hard to decide between this module and the Facebook comment. I wish there is a way to incorporate Facebook Connect with this module and it will be the "awesomest" available.
My only complaint is that I cannot get any help in the support forum. I even hinted that I would pay for this worthy extension if I could get some support. So far it has been three weeks since my initial contact with a forum moderator and I haven't heard a peep. But even with the technical issues I'm having with this software, it's still unbeatable in pretty much every category. Had it not been for the lack of support, I would've easily given it five stars. Hats off to the developer. Try it; you'll like it.
Excuse me, but I check now private messages during January-February 2010 and did not find any posts with no response. I'm very sorry that you could not find the answer in our forum. Contact me via private messages and I will try to help you.
1) when writing an article and breaking it in two parts with a "read more" button, the "Add Comments" link appear at the end of the first part of the article (I mean the introductory article), I thinks is more logical and would be better if it appeared at the end of the article (the second part) after clicking the "read more" button. Instead it is not possible.
2) When adding the "Add Comments" button the "read more" button loses it ccs style. This is not nice!
3) Finally. This is just a request/suggestion: How is it possible to add a BBCode for (Sharing with )FaceBook as it is for Google, Wiki and YouTube.

The support for this component is great. I found all I needed to install, configure, customize, and integrate this with all the systems on my site. That rocks!
Just like other users i am having huge problems changing the language.ini file for english, you should be able to change the en language file and be done, but fhe form headers do not change when you adjust the language file! In the end i just removed the jtext and added my own. Backend hack but at least it is what i want.
Unfortunately I have had to remove it from ALL my sites because of a very very strange issue with Internet Explorer.
The problem is NOT with this beautiful extension but with IE - Because of IE I had to remove this extension I feel sad to have removed it .
The problem on IE is that you get an "Operation Aborted , internet explorer can not load this page" message. IE SUKs!
However on visiting the developers forum I see that the developer is trying very hard to give excellent support to every body - Good Job There.
But if you are using multiple templates like my sites do then you may find it very difficult go get a sensible work around the IE problem.
The day IE dies I will be using this on all my sites again.
Congratulations to the developer - You have an excellent component here. You support is timely , prompt and you find solutions.
Thank you.
The unfortunately developers site does not have a "Support " Link because I am very keen to support this product.
Thank You Again. Happy New Year
vivi
Though I have had to remove this component I still give you 5 stars.
I am very sorry that you had to remove JComments. Indeed, with some Joomla templates, this problem happens with IE. And I have no universal solution at this moment. But let's try to solve the problem with your template? Contact me at the forum and send me a copy of your template, and I will try to find the cause of this error.
