The title pretty much says it all. After using this for a few months now, I very much regret having paid money for jomcomment. This component does pretty much everything jomcomment does, only better. In particular, integrations with 3rd party components is much cleaner and works better. My only gripe is that I haven't been able to get it working with JEvents yet, (not completely, anyway). But there's always room for improvement, right? Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good commenting system.
Migrated to JComments to give it a try, and I'm really happy whit it.
- Installed "out-of-the-box" without any problems.
- Default CSS style is really nice and simple for any site, but anyways the CSS sheet is well organized, really easy to adapt.
- REALLY fast support at official forum.
- Easy but powerfull user's permission configuration.
And more...

When I see this extension as a new one I expect some average component. This is not what I expect, is better than a lot of commenting systems out there. My first concerned was related to the Gravatar support, for me that's a very important issue when you create this kind of extension/component and I have to say, that was one of the things what really impress me. I love when extensions get up to date in this kind of issues. The other asset is the aesthetic and all the additional functionality. This component is one of my favorites so far, a 5 out of 5.
After browsing through the existing comments components for Joomla, this one was the logical choice after all.
Very clear configuration, works just as expected, allows adding comment system to arbitrary components with very small effort.
This component is just what one might need to have users interact with the site contents.

Having testet a many joomla comment plugz, i am quite pleased with it. Installing is easy, it has a powerful config and it runs smooth - plus it is not ugly looking. Wish there was some CSS editing option there but "after all, you're my wonderwall."
Hats off, Gentlemen!

The component is really good. In my opinion, it is the best component for comments. Very simple to install and use. Highly recommended!
Finally a commenting system that's free, doesn;t look amateurist and works. Good Job!
