I've used this component on both joomla version 1.5 and 2.5 and can thoroughly recommend it. Easy to load and easy to use for even the novice.
I am trully impressed.
Ready to use out of the box, huge set of parameters to tune for demanding configurations.
Beautiful styling, no tweaking CSS needed (probably for the first time I have downloaded an extension).
Only thing I miss is paid version without author information in the footer.

Excellent in my 1.5 site, so I downloaded for my 2.5 site. The problem I'm having is in the 1.5 version, there was a PLUGIN that allowed a icon to display in the article window for COMMENTS ON or COMMENTS OFF. I don't see a plugin for this in 2.5
But the tag is [jcomments on] so I just typed that in the article. Yet the tag shows in the front end, and not a place for comments.
Am I doing something wrong? As I say, LOVED this in 1.5, but having some issues in 2.5 and cannot find documentation to help.

First of all, I appreciate your work and the extension is absolutely impressive. I have tried a lot of them out there and none compare. It's the most complete, feature rich, functional Non-Commercial comments package period. It works seamlessly on my community website. A 5 star rating for this extension.

Installed and up and running in minutes. Configuration was a breeze, no issues whatsoever with seamless Avatar integration with Community Builder. It really worked right out of the box.

The Comment system could be good, and I see the big amount of settings unfortunately I cannot save the settings. After clicking on the save button, a message is displayed about the Succesful Save, but after clicking away and back, it is clear that nothing was saved :S

I would like to see the ability to change text of headings in the admin area, for example, instead of having the default heading "Add new comment" allow users to create their own heading. I would change it to "Add Comment".

Minimal and very functional layout. Could optimize it with a few easy options settings.
Even works on my phone with mobile joomla! (I had a heck of a time trying to get CompoJoom work with mobile joomla - did not succeed)

I can't fault this component. It installed no problem, the instructions are clear and concise and it works and integrates easily with my template. I just need to create my own template for the comments section now and I'll be away!
I was just about to mention one tiny niggle that I had (more a "like to have" really) which was an admin setting to disable the "comments" link on the category blog layout. I've just found it in the plugin settings. Marvelous!

This component is simply excellent and its FREE! There are many modules and plugins available and it can connect to many other component too. There are a fast way to import the comment datas from another component to the JComments.
The installation and setup are very simple and fast.
