It displays contact data and a contact form on the same page. The displayed fields in the form can be chosen and be set optional or mandatory. Available fields: Textarea, checkbox, company, title, name, position, street, postbox, zip, city, state, country, geo-coordinates (longitude/latitude), phone, mobile, fax, email, aim, icq, yahoo, msn, linkedin, xing, facebook, google plus, twitter. Addresses can be displayed in us, british, french, german or japanese format - or in a format of your choice by easily creating a format template.
For easier input of geo-coordinates the MyGeoPosition.com DatePicker is used. It displays a Google Maps API Map and let's the user enter geodata by performing a search and then fine-tuning the result by dragging and dropping a marker. As starting position the address entered by the user is used. If none entered so far, the websites contact address will be used.
Includes english, french, german, bosnian, catalan, croatian, czech, danish, dutch, hungarian, italian, japanese, norwegian, polish, portuguese, romanian, russian, serbian, spanish, swedish and ukrainian language files. Easy integration of other languages due to the use of language constant files.
Easily integrates with reCAPTCHA (1.5/1.6/1.7/2.5) and com_securityimages (1.5) to display a captcha as spam-prevention.

It simply does exactly what I’m looking for, simple but easy to use.
By adding HTML to the page title or info text fields you can dress-up the contact page you want. It’s true the predefined fields are fixed, but I found out you can easily tweak them in the source. I replaced for example ICQ by a VAT-field.
Luckily the 2.5 variant comes with multi-language support. As a wish, I would like to have the possibility to have the data I provide in the ‘my information’-fields to support multi-languages as well. In that case I could for example present language dependent phone numbers or e-mail addresses.

Easy to install and configure. The captha works fine. Was looking for more in the Google Maps though.
I was seeking one easy to install
contact form tool and I found DFContact and I do not need to seek more.
The tool is really easy to install and the tool menues are clear and intuitive.
User effort is kept in absolutely minimal. Thank Daniel for your efforts!
Starting up optional reCaptcha spam prevention was also very easy i.e. after signing up to free service at http://www.google.com/recaptcha.
I installed DFContact on a multilingual (English - Swedish) site with joomla 1.7.3 and I do appreciate that DFContact supports Swedish just follow the easy instructions.
One possible and purely cosmetic improvement would be steering the alignment of text entry box lables i.e. a key which would select either left middle or right alignment.

Does what it says, but tweaking is not straightforward or obvious. I was unable to get the address display to show typical USA city, state despite configuring it as such. Modifying the page via the language ini file had no effect on rendering. Recaptcha display broke my page display, but Check This Box set to mandatory seems to be a workaround to confirm human.
I submitted a request for guidance on how to solve my concerns, will see if support is forthcoming.

This is so far the best extension i have used for a contact us page in my site. The basic jquery validations and captcha support are a huge plus.
The only minus i see is that the css is not handled well, and you need some css knowledge to customise the form, like adding a background color, and adjusting the font sizes of the form fields. But overall, the functionality is good and satisfying.

It's an excellent component, It has many features I like in a contact component! However, there is 2 things I need to share:
1. It has no option to select the ReCaptcha theme, would be much appreciated if that was to be possible.
2. I kinda miss the option to display a map for the coordinates, instead of just showing the coordinates. Most people have no idea how to use them let alone that you can copy/paste them into Google Maps...
Besides that, I give this compoenent 4 stars for the good quality and available functionality.

The form is nice, easy to configure and hopefully secure.
One thing I don´t understand though is it lacks to remember my configuration when I update to a new version. This is a big minus.
No other form I´ve worked with have forgotten configurations and it´s hard to remember exactly how you put it the time before.

I don't remember ever writing a review in the past but I feel compelled to with this extension. I needed to add Captcha to my contact form and spent a lot of time trying other solutions which didn't work with my template. But I had this one installed and working in about ten minutes.
It just works!
It just works!
When you want a contact form that's a bit more in depth than the Joomla component - this is ideal. Easy to use and can be configured the way you want by a simple language file edit.
Excellent component. Sending the e-mails straightaway along-with IP information as the visitor entered his contact details. Works very fine since i installed the previous version 1.5 RC 4.
I would love this component much, if the developer adds the facility to accumulate all the contacted user details as a database at component.

Thank you very much for this component!!
The Best contact Form
Pros:
- Simple setup and configuration.
- Ample amount of fields.
Cons:
- Not overridable.
- Not developed with web best practices in mind (using tables for form layout, etc), which wouldn't be so bad if you could override the page in your template.
For me the non-override was a deal-breaker.

This is a very good extension and works great for my site, the frontend customization is very eays and have rich options.
But the format of the email sent is not very attractive and there is no way to customize the way it show up in the mailbox. I wish I could make the received email format very simple and remove the unnessessory sentences which says "somebody sent you an email using the contact form on your website. This is what he entered:" and "The following lines contain information which has not been entered by the user, but was collected by the server."
Also I wish the received email sender is the one who makes feedback, now the received email is from the email of website owner so you can reply the email by clicking on the "reply" button, and need to copy/paste the email from inside the email body which is just waste of time.
I wish it had a templete for the email sent to the webmaster so we could easily customize it. For instance I need to receive email in Right To Left language but there is no way to specify rtl in it.

Comapred to other contact form extensions - this one is much more complete. Being a component - it can be linked to a menu item. It has lot of fields for contact details. It also has the very important pre and post texts that can be customized to gave the form it's look and feel if you are familiar with HTML/CSS. Overall - I am very satisfied with the way it performs on my site
