Downloaded RSForm with trepidation. Registration on site is immediate and instructions on usage are clear enough. Had my first form working in an hour with no need to tamper with css or anything but my own input. Only thing that stops me from giving this an excellent rating is the fact that there are a few links on the site that go nowhere. In all other respects, this is excellent, simple to use and edit, and I am a very satisfied user. Thanks.
Not only was this extension really easy to use and top quality, their ticket support system continues to be (after more than a year of my purchase) superb and friendly.
For €9, this is a pretty good extension.
You do have to spend the time to read the documentation - while it's not super detailed, it does cover the important stuff and you'll be up and running in 10 mins.
Otherwise, it's actually really simple to use, very effective, and it just works - something that can't be said about a lot of extensions.
What you see on the website is and the documentation is exactly what you get - there are a lot of other extensions that make confusing/incorrect statements about what they do - this is not the case with RSForm.
Personally, the most impressive thing for me was the support - these guys really are brilliant, very responsive and very helpful.
They gave me documentation, information, ideas, and even wrote scripts for me to get a tricky requirement working. Even better, they didn't just email me - I gave them a log in to my site, they logged in and actually helped me with the issue.
I'd definitely recommend using this extension, and would suggest that if you have a problem - take your time, read the documentation, and use the support system!

I agree to many reviewers that this component is pretty confusing. I purchased it without testing before; because a customer of mine heard it would be the best form and insisted on this. it doesn't took 5 minutes to realize that this is not the best form component. Maybe I should have buy the pro version... i don't know.
I'm not the kind of malicious person to write bad reviews because i am disappointed of some nitty gritty things. The things annoying me in this component are too many. It took 20 Minutes until I knew how to add a form element. This was because the sub navigation wasn't much different to the main navigation. Why are they not in the same borders of the form field listing? This is a specific navigation! It is also annoying to read the huge information overload. Why not appending information buttons with mouse overs? The worst issue is the navigation. Things belonging together should stay together and not be untidy pickup. I only can advice you to test this component before buying.

This does pretty nice. Not bad. For decent forms, working with code, it's good.
I was looking for something that worked, produced some clean code, and was fairly intuitive without being too awful simple. This foots the bill for that and is quite usable.
3 Stars!! Good work, very usable, produces good forms.

As many of the disappointed users of this extension I agree with the point of view that this is not extremely easy to use. I am not an absolutely beginner but my understanding of extremely easy to use is different. If I pay money for something and this person / company is promising me a product with skills which are not appropriate I must not wonder that my "customers" will go off.
Not an easy to use extension at all. To make it look as i want, i spent more then a day. The problem is i don't know HTML CSS PHP good enough to achieve what i want fast. From the other side when i pay money (yep, even 9 Euros)i'm waiting everything to be really easy and native.
I just started using joomla for about 2-3 months so far and this has got to be the best purchase I've ever made so far.
Great support, the team quickly answered my queries within a day or so. And they gave easy to do instructions so that even a beginner like me could set up my forms the way I wanted it.
I couldn't be more satisfied of my purchase. Thank you very much RSJoomla! for this great product and your great support team.

Powerful extension. Also a great support. I wanted to put an accept "terms and conditions" box in my form in the Checkbox Group section and that the "terms and conditions" would be a link to the document with those. Support wrote me a line of code to put it in the item section. It worked perfect for my needs. It also integrates perfect with Joomfish. Until now works perfect.
I thought this was a very well made product. I was a bit surprised after purchasing and receiving the pro version, it's actually quite a bit different than the standard/lite version that they give away as a trial version.
The product is easy enough to use for almost anyone who is familiar enough with Joomla to create a website in the first place. I really appreciated the Form Layout page, where the individual form elements are simply variables, so you can create your own, 100% custom layout and design of the form using images, css, html, etc. The individual form elements output with unique ID's - so you can style the forms and fields however you wish as well. Any developer or anyone else familiar enough to create their own forms will find it super easy to make the page look however they want.
I liked the tooltips with ChronoForms - and for super basic email forms I would probably suggest Chrono as it does the job well and is free. The real benefit to RSForms, in my opinion, is the Submission Management where it holds submitted info within Joomla as well as emails it to you, and the ability to send Thank You emails upon form completion.
Overall, for the $20 it cost for RSForms, I'm quite happy with the product - I use Joomla 1.5 and had my forms completely built and customized within about an hour with no need for support.
