Very easy. I like the ability to customize most of the things you need in a form. Very important for me is the possibility of custom php code for database integration.
Feature request:
Modern validation. At the moment you have to submit the form before validation takes place.
I would like to receive the documentation with the trial version.
Possibility of automatic saving and displaying the submitted form values in the database.

I've been setting up my new site and was wanting a form that would allow me to take photo appointments for my studio. After trying a few others, I stumbled upon this one and it is the best by far....it even has a calender so people can just point and click for the day they want to come in. Very impressive.
I've just installed and tested the RSform component and have found the process pretty straightforward and hassle free (which is quite a tribute given my very limited techy expertise).
The lack of forms in the initial 1.5 Joomla installation was a real pain in an otherwise excellent piece of software - I am very happy that the solution was so easy to find and implement.

I had been looking for a decent forms component for a while. Previously I used performs, but found it lacking. Though RSForm has lots more detail which could get confusing, it was nice to be able to do things like add a few break tags after the form (in the provided code box, right in the component) to make sure there was a bit of room below the component. I was even able to figure out how to add space between form items by editing the code in the Field Style box (in this case, I added a break tag right before the {field} item to move my submit button down a bit).
I'm likely going to be going with RSform! for my client joomla sites in the future.

I have a little bit of experience in hand-coding php forms, so I thought it would be able to follow along with the directions in setting up the component even if they weren't clear. However, I needed not fear, because it was incredibly easy-- no programming knowledge required at all! Setting up a form is a breeze... great work!
RSform was easy to install and use. I wanted a substitute for using FrontPage for forms, which for my infrequent use seems to always require fiddling with offline and online versions of the page before I can get the FrontPage extensions to work right.
RSform installed in about 1 minute and I had my first working form published in about 30 minutes. Most of that time was adding and fiddling with the individual fields to get the dozen or so I wanted, in the right order, and with the right descriptions and such.
Minor quibbles about install and documentation:
The first lines of the users manual says only: "Download com_forme and install it by going to your Administrator area, and clicking on Installers / Components." While that was totally accurate, this newbie to Joomla could benefit from listing 3 steps: 1) download file as zip (no need to extract). 2) Login to your Joomla site as administrator and choose menu option installers... components... 3) In the "upload package installers" section browse to the zip file you downloaded and then click "upload file and install."
Truly this took only about 30 seconds and won't be at all confounding the second time someone installs a component.
The other documentation quibble is with the last section of the FAQs on how to add a form to your content. It references instructions for downloading and installing the forms mambot. Those instructions don't work with the trial version, since the "support" selection returns an "unauthorized" error.
Finally, a couple of program quibbles, with the hope these will lead to improvement of an already good component.
First, the attributes on a form field allow you to validate a field, but only one selection can be made (like text, or email, or mandatory). Especially the "mandatory" attribute should be able to be applied in addition to some other, like 'text.' I would suggest a checkbox to make a field mandatory, as well as the drop-down to choose formatting validation.
Second, when creating a new form, the preview form choice results in a Joomla error that the "page you are trying to access does not exist." It isn't until the form is "published" that you can preview it. Even a way to trap this with a better error message, like "you must publish the form before you can preview it" would be helpful.
Still - I'm tossing Frontpage for simple forms. This will meet my needs in a very straight-forward way.

I've beens earching around for a form creater that is both easy and easier to install. This is certainly right up that street.
An excellent component for someone has niether time to prog and sort out validation rules, creating validation scripts.
Well done, will certainly be using this on my website..

This is the extension we have been looking for. We have previously tried other form management components but never been satisfied. The best part about this extension is the ease of use.
