I used to be extremely satisfied by phil-a-form but this version for joomla 1.5 is frankly disappointing :

- NO ability for submitter to come back and edit the form later.
- complicated for nothing
- my customers had plenty of issues while filling the form, nospam messages and so on.

a regression for Phil-A-Form :-(
waste of time and energy.

I will move asap from it probably to smartformer

Easy to setup. Easy to use. Strong. In the first week of use, we had over 8,000 form submissions for a contest and no problems at all.

I played around with the demo site for a while, creating a pretty detailed form. I also was able to implement it on the demo site, use it, and have it function out of the box. The developers of this product have obviously put a LOT of time and energy into getting it right. This is the 4th forms program that I have used and is by far the best! If this is your first day of Joomla, you can install this, create a form, and have it published within the hour. If you are more technical and are going to custom CSS and scripting, you can do that too. There doesn't seem to be anything that they didn't think of. ALSO, the response time on e-mails is amazing... you can't ask for more!

I really have to say, WOW! I have tried al lot of the forms for Joomla, including RSform! and ChronoForms. At last I bought this one, and it's amazing! It installed without any problem. The admin interface is build up logically and easy to understand.

This form component is good for beginners, but also for more advanced users. You can create very complex forms with it, but also some easy forms if you want. Everything is possible.

Some other nice features are the auto update checking. Everytime you go to the component via Joomla it checks if you have the latest version installed and let you know.

Another nice feature is the anti-spam of this form component. It has a LOT of cool and new anti-spam techniques build in. There are no captcha's (so no hassle for your customers). The spam controls are invisible, but they work perfectly! And if you want you can also use 3th party spam controls, like Akismet and Mollom (which are great too).

This one is the best, for sure!

I selected this Forms program after reviewing the rest. I'm very pleased and I recommend this to others. Support is prompt and thorough.

This is an amazing extension. The admin interface is extremely easy to use, yet very powerful.

The generated forms are of exceptional quality, and the spam control is excellent.

This is a beautiful extension. We use various form components, each with their own positives and well done. This form component however was SO good I had to leave a review. Every thing we needed to do was doable. The designer interface is clean, bug free and intuitive. I really like the way Phil and his team think. What used to take hours of coding now takes mere minutes.

So far, we've purchased this component for two commercial websites. The content managers for both sites are non-coders, and now they're able to easily create and edit forms. This ability saves them time and money.

After our first installation last fall, Phil Taylor has continued to add new features. Plus, he responds quickly and politely to email. In fact, I just sent a Tweet to @blueflameit this morning, and he responded within minutes--informing me of a new feature.

The only feature I'm wishing for is multi-page support. Many of our clients have long enrollment forms, and it would be nice to break them down into shorter pages.

The installation process was easy. A few files required CHMOD 777, but the messages on the installation screen told us exactly which files had permission issues.

Overall, my clients and I are extremely pleased with Phil Taylor's Forms. This component is a fantastic value, and I'm sure we'll be purchasing additional licenses for future sites.

An amateur like me would have taken weeks to produce the forms I wanted, or I would have to hire someone to make them for me.

I was up and running in no time at all.
I got a bit lost at the start and thought I'd bought the wrong product, but an email to Phil Taylors support crew (which was answered very quickly) had me on the right track in no time.
The more I get into this form maker the more powerful and versatile I realise it is.
A great product at a price I beleive is far too cheap, I would have been more than willing to pay double for it!

Cuts hours of advanced form creation into minutes, literally! I thought this was a great component before, but the new import and form in content or module features put it over the top. Thank you for a great component!

This has to be the best component I ever purchased. I can create a rather complex form in minutes and advanced customization is a breeze. Overall, the support, quality of design and the functionality is unbelievable; especially given the low cost of the component. If you need form handling, I strongly recommend this product.

This is the only product I have purchased from Blue Flame, but it will certainly not be the last.

Not only is the product quite robust, it makes launching a form, even a custom form, extremely easy.

I had a need that the forms component was not meeting, I emailed Phil and within hours had a custom solution provided to me free of charge. It's hard to find genuinely good customer service these days and Phil Taylor does not disappoint!

This extension sells itself. I played on the demo site for 30 minutes and knew it was for me.

As a php developer, I thought I was going to have to write my owns form extension, as I couldn't conceive of someone writing something flexible enough for my needs. Was I wrong! bfForms for Joomla is simply one of the most robust extensions for any web platform I have ever seen, not just Joomla. The $45 spent on this application has saved me days, maybe weeks of coding, and has given me an interface and capabilities much richer than I would have given myself.

Of particular importance to my site are the ability to add forms to module compenents, the ability to COMPLETELY customize the html and css used to generate the form (Click the custom html form in the layout pane and play with the new tab), the ability to add non-form elements (images, phrases, etc.) and the ability to post the form data to other pages/domains (see the knowledgebase article on this topic).

Additionally, I had a question about the codebase that I dashed off at 1am MST, and received a response within a couple hours from the developer himself. That's pretty early even for someone in the UK.

All told my experience with the product and the company have been nothing short of superb!

Blue Flame writes a most awesome form tool. I really have tried them all and this one will blow you away. For real. I use this for all kinds of things and many interface with other systems.

This tool is not only easy to use, but really powerful - and the best part is that all the power is there only if you need it. The "power tools" are not in the way of the simple stuff.

The support is excellent...this is exactly the benefit of PAID software. Very cool and more than worth the price!!! It's even fun to watch how Blue Flame used some really cool technology.

After going through several different frustrating, kludgy and hard to use J! form builders, today I discovered Phil Taylor's Forms For Joomla 1.5.x. Wow! The interface is simple and straightforward, walking you through form creation, from simple to complex. I appreciate the added features like spam protection and with lots of customizable options.

Now I no longer groan when it comes to form creation. Forms For Joomla 1.5.x makes it a breeze.

Support was excellent, as well.

You will not find a better form software than this. I have tried all of them over the years. The programmer that produced this one allows use on a range of domain names, so you can use it on a range of websites for the single license fee. Excellent prompt support. Simple, yet powerful. I ended up buying all of this company's products!

Usually I try all the non-commercial extensions first, but the reviews for Joomla Forms were so positive that I decided to pay up first before giving it a try (using the demo site tells you all you need to know before buying).

Not only does it do everything it says it can do, but it completely insulates the non-technical user like me from the complexities underneath integrating something complicated like forms into your site.

Best thing is I had a couple of questions that were not in the FAQs, and when I contacted Phil with them he was incredibly helpful and spent much more time with me than I'm sure I deserved! I got all my issues worked out and am very pleased wit the new functionality on my site.

5 Stars all the way. If you need Forms, this is the component for you.

Extremely easy to use and provides sophisticated and professional looking forms with loads of options for customizing. There isn't another forms extension that compares! Well worth paying the minimal price for such an excellent extension.
