I want to thank itoris and sfg for the wonderful prodcut. It's not perfect, but my experience has been beyond my expectations. Here is why:
1. Flexible product. Very useful and allows creativity
2. Fantastic support. Have a problem, question or just a brain fart? Get a response in minimum time.
3. Development of MY product. I have had itoris use sfg develop several site components for me. Some I could have done myself, but I do not have time. They developed a great interface with a data supplier for me at a VERY reasonable cost. And with great service.
4. Constant ehancements. This product is actively being developed. Got an issue? They fix it. They have an idea to make the program more flexible and open to development? They add it.
5. Personable and good looking too. I have never seen Sandra, the developer I typically work with, but can only conclude she is a beauty queen! Always polite. Easy to communicate with. Sandra, I love you!
I cannot say enough about sfg! I am a previous use of Blue Flame's program and was discouraged with the lack of support. I loved his enthusiasm and ideas, but I need support. I depend on my apps to run to push $$ into my business.

Smartformer Gold is exactly what I was looking for. Super easy to install, really easy to use especially for someone like me who is new to Joomla and doesnt know any code. To top it off the support is fantastic. Support answered all my queries fast and took the time to explain everything clearly.

SmartFormer is really extraordinary, in all the aspects.
powerfully, intuitively and easily to use. Till the simplest forms to more complexes, forms with multi pages, control of the database from the application, a delight. It is not expensive for what it does and the developer offers an impeccable support, take a look at his web page and read the forum, (it is where really it is possible to see that such it works and how the developer answers) Very advisable.

This component is absolutely super. I at all unrepented paid bills sums, because value quickly will return in spared time, more elaborate and professional forms compared to similar produkt. A primarily, when I doesn't know counsel, sufficed write in support of and in a twinkle am had answer.

This is a fantastic product. Of all the form generators I have used with Joomla, it is by far the best. With SFG you can place objects on the form where you want them. You do need to understand Java and PHP to do some advanced manipulation with your data.
Installation was flawless.
Support is superb! I always receive a response from the forum, and email support is spot on!

Great extension. I like the way it gives to drag and drop elements to the form.
I tried different form components in this category, paid and free. But no one allowed me to simply place several elements into one row without editing the HTML manually! I don't really like when all controls are placed vertically - one per line. Configuration of a simple (but not an ordinary one) form layout in "those" components was a pain.
I tried the trial of smart former gold and loved it. Elements are dragged and moved like a charm. I spent some time for learning the editor features. And I can truly say now that creation of 5 page application form with more than 100 active elements takes me 2-3 hours.
Thanks authors for the tool! 5 stars!

Used SFG for large multipage multiform application and it worked like clock work. Have not experienced any problems with the product. Support is very good and received good answers and very quick. Support has been very good even with php coding questions that is not really (I think) a form support problem, that said please do not stop doing that, that is what makes this a great product.

I have always needed a nice Shopping cart. The existing ones caused plenty of bugs and unneeded settings.
After purchasing Smart Former Gold for a simple feedback form I have noticed there is a sample of shopping cart included in the component. With wonderful and professional support of IToris I have managed to create the cart I need, easy to manipulate yet powerful.
Now thinking of good graphs for my back-end stuff to analyse the information. IToris can help me with this as well.

If you are looking for professional solution, here is one from top three i think. I've tried many non-commercial and commercial versions. But SFG is really simple to use and i also got prompt support from the team. It cost some money, but the proportion - price versus usability is great. Thanks for this solution.

Now I have Smart Former Gold, now I can do EVERYTHING with my forms. Oh yes, I can even export them to PDF! captcha is reloaded separately, the design is easy-to-set. And if I need any extra issue - I ask on support forum and receive help within one day and FOR REEE!!! Plan to use Gold on all my sites and keep on, Itoris :).

I installed this product on a localhost and on a live site. There were problems with the installation but I could solve them quickly.
IE6 problems, but the website says it works with IE7.
I have tried the Standard and Gold version. Advice: Go for the Gold.
Now the good: The Gold version is a thing unto itself. It offers the user so many possibilities in a manner that even beginners can get great looking forms done in a few minutes.
I have tried most of the other Joomla form builders and NONE of them give so much access to layout, tools, and customization that this program does. And all in ONE place. I tried the standard and was frustrated. Then I looked at the Gold to compare. The difference is like night and day.
If you want forms, surveys, that look great and work well, spend the extra $$. You will be VERY happy.
They don't add all the standard fluff of other components like rate me, hit count, big icons etc. (that drive me crazy) unless you WANT it.
The interface does not look like a plastic toy. Big BRAVO for that.

This extension is really powerful, yet straight forward to use because of its excellent and intuitive interface. I also received prompt support when I had a query regarding its use on multiple domain names. This is a "must have" extension if you need to create bespoke online forms/contact us pages.

The component is excellent and the support is fast. There was a problem with component activation on the local host, but support technician replays during an hour. He helps to find out the solution of the problem. I could create the necessary form during 15 minutes.
The interface of the form is consistent and clear. The logic of pages bonds in multi-page form is particularly easy to use. It simply needs to choose page number in button properties. It isn’t necessary to define any rules or handlers. Email Templates editor is realized suitable as well. Any value from the form may be inserted into the letter directly! I will use this component in the sequel.

This is a great componant that offers a large amount of flexibility when building forms. I´ts perfrct to use when u don´t know to much php, it´s easy to build versatile forms without programming skills.
I specially like the way you can easy set up the visual layout as you please without writing a single line of code.
I´m really recomending his component for all of us out there that loves Joomla but don´t know programming.

A powerful component. An easily customizable, a truly professional environment to create forms. I like SmartFormer but Gold is much more convenient and powerful.
Gold is especially valuable for the developers who want to quickly create sophisticated forms even if they have a minimum php background.
Form builders keep talking about WYSIWYG but only Gold allows you to quickly drag and drop all components to the form editing area with no effort. I was really impressed how fast the drag and drop feature works now, good job!
Another amazing thing is Snippets, parts of the form which can be added with a single move. They are already configured and ready to use. For instance, you need an anti-spam feature and with one drag you add CAPTCHA image, input field and text.
And the last but not the least is integration with the database. It’s awesome that you can link the form to any existing tables on the level of fields of tables using the intuitive UI.

This component might be good. The feature list is impressive and it looked like the component i am searching for a long time.
But there are two (really) annoying things:
* These guys are using their own "installer". The installer comes without one line of code of the component but wnats to download the complete code from the companies webserver. The code of the installer is encrypted - so it is hard to guess, what happens en detail during installation (does it send something back to the company?) It's on you, how much you trust an unknown company. The download tooked ages.
* The component won't work within safari. It wants a firefox instead. Well, that might be no problem for some people - but i like my safari, because it is fast and reliable. I don't use firefox very often, becuase it's memory footprint and startup time is something which costs me nerves.
Currently i won't recommend this component because of it's limited compatibility and the fact, that it looks like a black box - and i don't like and would never recommend black boxes.

Tastenmetzger, thank you for your straightforward review. Constructive critics is always useful :).
As I can conclude, the functionality of Gold is beyond praise, as with all criticism you do not say a word about it at all :).
As for the issues you mention -
well, yes, we use encrypted code and do not make it a secret. It is our right and choice (at least till the 1st of July ;)
Our experience with the JED and Joomla customization is not so short, and we have never been accused of sending something wrong to our clients or receiving some data illegally from them... well, I would say any interaction between developer and customer can be based on mutual confidence only...
Coming back to the topic - the installer allows checking your system requirements before installing Gold (which lets almost everything with your forms and respectively takes some time to be loaded).
It is convenient I believe, as you know if Gold corresponds to your setting and requirements BEFORE you spend time on its installation.
As for Safari - we like it also :) mostly in theory. You see, some Joomla developers (including us) come to the conclusion they work almost for food :( - hmm... well, ok, I admit...we do not have Macs at all :(
That is why we put the list of supported browsers at the top of Gold's page. This list does not include Safari unfortunately :(
