Love this extension, very simple and easy to use. Just can't get the images bigger in the front end even after changing parameters :-(

From a developer POV, installs in a snap and easy to style -- nice clean code too. Plus the added assurance that it's very easy for the end user. Provided exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

Some people will absolutely refuse to post their email and that will deter them from signing the guestbook. Whether or not emails should be required should be a parameter setting. I also think the following should be parameter settings:

- Whether or not to display the WYSIWYG editor. I know the user can hide it, but if I'm trying to create a very simple interface, I may not want to provide it as an option.

- Whether or not to allow file uploads.

Nice and easy. Installs without any issue.
Only thing missing was language support so I adjusted it a bit for the Dutch language. I send it to the developer but in the meantime you can download dutch (frontend) version here: http://tinyurl.com/2wwwzzz

Again, I think it's sometimes difficult to find precisely the right extension, to meet individual needs/ preferences---it takes a lot of trial and error. So (after uploading several "bad eggs") when you come across an extension that uploads free of errors, has a clear and easy implementation, blends seamlessly with your website, has straight-line functionality, and (most importantly) it's FREE... well, it makes you breathe a sigh of relief ("Yes, this extension DOES exist! Awesome!").

Simple Guestbook definitely meets all of the above criteria, which (in retrospect), seems like kind of a lot!

Thanks, and keep those wonderful open-source extensions coming!

I needed fast solution for guestbook with image upload ability! This comes up as 5th pick on the Guestbook extension page, but really should be Editor's pick for it's simplicity and great functionality. It simply has all you want in Guestbook + backend config parameters that are just sufficient!
If author has no plans of making something like "Latest in Guestbook" module, I promise I'll do it and that way support this excellent work! Cheers!

To remove the email from showing on the frontend, edit file "Joomla Root/components/com_guestbook/views/guestbook/tmpl/default.php" around line 34 remove " '.$postlists->post_email.'');?>"

An option to show could be added to the admin end or to the post comment form so the user chooses very easy, maybe in the next release.

Also an option where to place the image, above text/below, e.t.c..

Allow multiple images and show in a lightbox in the comments single full view.

The component name does not appear to change the name in the frontend, i will take a look why in a bit.
