Tried this poll in J1.7 and found it very easy to install and get working within a module however poll results will spill out from your module into your articles - therefore I could not use on my site.
I did try to contact the vendor, however recevied no reply.
With a few tweaks I'm sure a later version will be just fine.

For next relases yo must to enable the posibility of duplicate the polls or can set a date to expirate. Also is necesary or usefull to put a buttom to set zero the votes for periodic surveys.
A Poll system that just works! Other poll extensions really over complicate what should be a very simple thing.
One or two config options would be nice, like changing the colours of the results bars. I just prefer a single colour from the site palette, but it's a small thing to worry about.

I'm a college student who is taking a web and marketing class and everything I know about joomla has been taught to me recently. Nice ajaxpoll is an awesome extension, at first I couldn't find where to change the poll questions but I think its just bc Im new to installing extensions. If you have a small business and want some quick feedback this is the way to go.
This module worked out of the box. Took less than ten minutes to setup. I especially like "Display link all Poll?" option that allows you to have a link to a auto generated page(s) with the results of other polls, available or not. On the actual multiple poll results page, a nice pulldown list shows other polls and results fade in just like you see on expensive sites.

1. Results display/refresh inside the original voting space.
2. Text fades in.
3. Multicolored results bars fill from left to right. (Ajax for the win).
These three simple redraw elements and ease of use, makes Nice Ajax poll, a winner for me. Thank you developer!

In the parameters of the module there are plenty of options. If you have any suggestions just let me know.
This module demonstrates very well on the developer's site but when I tried it in my development environment, it had lots of shortcomings.
The xml file allows the module class to be specified but then doesn't support anything except a plain module style (as another reviewer noted some time ago). The problem is that it calculates its space requirements without taking the module formatting into account and then when the results are displayes, the content expands but not the module, leaving a chunk hidden.
Another problem I had was that the module cannot show the poll name as the module title. That makes it impossible for me to make the poll look like a natural part of my site without some development work. All-in-all a great disappointment, especially given the excellent demo.

Nice Ajax Poll is an excellent extension. It installed easily without any problems, and it has all the features I wanted: only 1 vote per user or IP address; link to related article; dropdown list of other polls so users can view previous ones; slick Ajax functionality. I'll be adding this to my Favourites :)
I installed the poll module without any hassle or problems. As mentioned below, the module uses the Joomla included poll management system, meaning that none of my polls or results were lost during the install. Big Plus!
I also had a specific question about how not to display the total number of votes, simply the percentage and the developer responded with an immediate update to the module that took care of my question. EXCELLENT support. I cannot thank the dev enough for the fabulous extension and support. One of the best.
