New release - 15 of September, 2010:

Documentation area available at http://www.imaqma.com/docs/itemlist/category/14-surveys-component.html
There are still a number of things that are needed, though:
- The General/Pages links? Very confusing. It looks like a header.
- Need the option to turn off the Flash animation in the control panel. It may be pretty, but it's mostly useless.
- Need the ability to customize CSS from the control panel. My site is using a dark background, and out of the box, Surveys looks horrible.
- Need to be able to restrict responses by IP. Currently, a survey with public access could actually be responded to twice by a registered user: once while logged in, and once while anonymous.
- Similarly, need to be able to ALLOW multiple responses per IP. Obviously these two feature requests are in conflict with one another, which is why the restriction should be set per survey.
Some suggested features:
- Be able to add HTML to options.
- Dynamic drop-down lists.
- Allow users to "save" their surveys and complete them at a later date. This would be especially useful for multi-page surveys.
Again, a slick component off to a great start, but it needs even more customization options to be truly versatile.
Thanks for the feedback Cleo, we'll release a new version today but for the next one we'll use for sure your feedback, most of your points if not all are very good points to add to the component.
Functionality:
--------------
Different question types are offered when creating a survey, i.e. checkbox, selection, radio button, check box. The possibilities to export and evaluate survey results were really appreciated!
The backend structure is self-explaining, so IMO no documentation is needed at all.
Support:
--------
Suggestions for new functions meet a fast and friendly support. Thanks!
Pricing:
--------
Absolutely worth its money, less than others while comparable with these commercial competitors in functionality.
Bottom-line: two thumbs up!
It seems like you want to earn a buck but haven't got the goods yet. Perhaps it would be better, and more customer friendlyy (not to mention, better for your image) if you offer it for free first (or even with limited options) before charging money for something that doesn't work properly. I can't figure it out, and I'm getting sick of trying too. It should work and it should have documentation. It does/has neither.
very poor
The documentation is being worked but did you contact us about your problems?
We agree with the documentation and we're currently working on a documentation website for our products available at http://docs.componentslab.com/ and the surveys component is the first being worked and should be ready soon.
Regarding the demo site unfortunately people can change passwords and that's probably the problem. Currently the demo resets every one hour.
Great to hear you like. We're going to improve it with more features. Feedback is welcome :)
