What this component can do, Joomla native article can do 100% times better, so why the need for this? Its not only a simple add page component, it lacks all needed features to even perform as an article management extension not to mention a proper blog to start with. I don't understand why other commentators find this extension useful, could be their shallow research for more functional modules.
This works fine in just three simple steps:
Install, add blog and create menu. My major concern is that how can I alllow my registered users to comment on my blog, coz comments are a basic part of bloggging. Unless am not well informed I think the simplicity of this component doesn't achieve any desired outcome for the developer. Let me know how to go about this

hello i have been using your blog for a month or so now. all i can say is it's perfect - simple, clean, easy to install, easy to use. thank you.
As one very new to Joomla and web-design in general, I can attest to the simplicity of this blog, especially in comparison to some of the other extensions I have been fighting with recently. However, and this was a result purely of my own ignorance, this is not a blog (though please correct me if I am wrong) where individuals visiting your site have the ability to contribute posts. I had made that assumption, obviously incorrectly.
This component is brilliant in it's simplicity. Perfect for very quick blogging, and also very useful when setting up a blog that will be used often by clients who are computer challenged. There is nothing they can screw up with this blog component.
I could only find a handful of blogs available. This one was by far the best if all you want is a simple way of blogging. Obviously it's not going to be all singing and dancing like WordPress so be aware of that.
The other thing you need to take into account is that if you write a long blog with lots of paragraphs, when you submit, you will just have one large block of text. There is an extremely simple way around this even if you have absolutely no knowledge of HTML. Use a website editor such as Dreamweaver. Create an HTML page and write your blog, or paste it in from WordPad. Then just copy all the text from the code view. When you paste it into your blog, all your paragraphs will bein place. No need to put in the HTML manually.
This is a really excellent blog, I really like it

I had it downloaded, installed, on my main menu and using it in approximately 1 minute. It accepts HTML code so I can do whatever I like with the page. I need to save TIME, and this is a snappy little utility that gives ME more time to work on content instead of fussing around with the program. And I agree, I hate WYSIWYG editors too, it's the one thing I hate about WordPress. This is a beauty. Thank you!!
Installed in a flash, I did read that it isn't a WYSIWYG but I was cool with that prior to download, the comment ahead of mine here, that guy was purely complaining that it was hard to code and use??? Guess he didn't read the designer's notes. Great extension!
Hi guys. Now I am not usually one for simplicity, but for this I have no choice but to eat my words!
It runs perfectly! Everything is excellent, the code, the layout, even the backend!
The only one thing that I miss with this extension is a selection of modules. E.g. Latest Posts, Select by Month, etc.
Apart from that, I give this component full marks, as it does "exactly" what it says on the description!
Well done! Very simple, very effective, and a very easy installation and setup.
Regards, Reece S.

Thank you for this extremely easy to use extension.
It is indeed very simple and working smoothly!
Is there in a future developement, something to let users in a Community Builder environment, add their blog too?
Would also be useful to make the author appear, and to autocreate a category, for every new user that decides to put up their blog, with an archive column on the side for old posts.
Also, from the author name, a link to their CB would look good (with related tab in CB), and a thumbnail of their profile picture.
I'm just throwing in some ideas :)
Good job!!
I think that, despite the fact I like the extension simplicity, there should be given the option to use an editor, from the ones installed in Joomla already.
Just in case users dont know html tags.
