In one module, a greater functionality, which replaces a number of modules.
The module has the ability to create different patterns (templates), thus you can change the type of modules as you like and use the module on the news portals, on the portfolio or personal site.
You can use several modules to create the main page, as I did at my portfolio - http://denys.org.ua
The system of templates allows a very flexible and expands the functionality of your ability.
Image display system provides broad opportunities for the creation of thumbnails and change.
Please, write your comments and suggestions in the comments. The most interesting proposal will be introduced in the functional module.

At the moment realized:
1. Caching module;
2. Only articles from component Frontpage;
3. Displaying all articles, including articles published in the component Frontpage;
4. Displaying articles without material placed in a component Frontpage;
5. Choosing a template - in a package has 4 variant templates.
6. Output of articles in the module;
7. Choice of Section / Category through lists with their names or indication ID (you can set a number of ID, separated by commas to display articles from several sections / categories);
8. The ability to sort news by date created, date modified, popularity, alphabet, alphabet in reverse order, ID, sorting by default (as in the administrative panel), in random order, etc.;
9. Calling the format of the time;
10. Displaying the author;
11. Two ways to display images: changing the very image through the library GD (supported versions GD1 and GD2) - creation of a preview, or to insert the original image to HTML;
12. Imaging through the GD library allows impose filters in black and white or sepia (in the following versions of the number of filters will be increased);
13. Cropping images in height and width. Ie if we have 200h400 image pixels in the original, but in module exhibited 100h80 pixels, the image will be reduced and to write without the strain of the parameters of width and height;
14. Displaying a common link with a random text on this or any other page on your site (link is part of the hand, arbitrarily). For example: "All the materials in the Site News ..."

I needed a newsflash module that gave me the option of not displaying front page articles. This does exactly what it says. Great module and I look forward to your enhancements.
A few suggestions: 1-Add the option to float the thumbnail to the right or left 2-Add the option to not link the article title.

I wish you could assign by article ID. I wish the default layouts were better, like the demo. Otherwise, a great module. The main feature I loved was the automatic thumbnails.

This looks great and has great possibilities. I like the fact that it resizes images - that's really cool. However it's a shame that it doesn't add the alt tag to the images so the html won't validate without that. Probably wouldn't be so difficult to add?
Also I validated the html of the demo and it came up with over 300 errors - would be worth of cleaning up...

Now update module in the http://denys.org.ua and optimize to valid XHTML (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdenys.org.ua%2F&charset=(detect+automatically)&doctype=Inline&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.606).
Next version will be optimize to with new function.
