I have found this module very useful, easy to use, and practical. Just as it claims, it takes the good "Most Popular" article listing module and elevates it to the next logical step - showing only NEW popular content.
With this module, you can set the maximum age an article can be and still show up on the "most popular" list. I like it because it eliminates bogus page hits (which are really bounces) that artificially driving up the popularity of old articles.
Thanks for this great module!

I needed a replacement to solve the problem of articles becoming static and outdated using the core functionality. This did the job in about 2 minutes. Excellent and well done with great flexibility.
Only suggestion would be to provide a negative option for eliminating some section/categories e.g., -35,45 etc. I've got a few static sections I'd like to eliminate but a growing list of ones that need to be added continually... Even a range setting would work like 7-999 for example.
Maybe a new release for the future will make this an even more flexible solution. Great work.

I had the same problem as others reported here - "Most Popular" was filled up with old articles that were no longer relevant. This module fixed the problems!
Thank you so much for your extension! +1 for implementation in core joomla , maybe in future releases!
I've got the same problem as the one mentioned in the author's site's comments:

I was using J1.0.15 and ever since I upgraded to J1.5.11 I cannot see the tooltips with the "views" counts any more. I read the authors reply and searched for the term "Archive Module Count Parameter and Tool Tip corrections" in Google and found some solution for the Archive module, but it doesn't do anything to this module... How to implement these changes to the Most Read Recent / Popular of Late in order to see these tooltips again? I am using a J1.0.x template remade for J1.5. Please be more specific as we are not that professional PHP developers... :) Anhialo.info
Otherwise regards for a wonderful module! :)

This is by far one of the nicest feature one can have on a larger site with many articles and lots of traffic!
Why was this not implemented in core? :-)
Credits goes to the developer!
NICE CATCH!
