As it is ... is a great funny module.
But it's so simple to customize that anyone can use it as the best quotations module around, since you can have a "picture" of the person followed by the quote.
Only one sugestion ... please update this great module to joomla 1.6 native.

Very nice extension; does exactly what it says; looks nice; easy to install.
Install by doing Admin > Extensions > Install/Uninstall, browse for the downloaded zip file, then click Upload File & Install. Then go Admin > Extensions > Module Manager, click on the Simpsons entry, and edit as necessary - be sure to Enable.
It's quite easy to modify this for any quotes and pictures you want ...
Steps:
- Unzip the original downloaded file.
- Edit quotes.txt - format is obvious.
- Each image file must be named as a lower case version of the quoted person's name. E.g.: "John Smith" needs an image file called "john smith.gif"
- Edit mod_simpsonsv2_15.xml, changing the list of image files to match your own.

I am a huge Simpsons fan, and was very pleased to find this extension! It was very simple to install, and looks like I'll be able to easily add some missing quotes for existing characters.
The only "complaint" that I have is some of the "best" quotes are missing, because the character who gave the quote - Grampa - is missing.

Module has 13 Simpsons images and easy-to-use quotes.txt file.
Images are of Apu, Barney, Bart, Carl, Chief Wiggum, Cletus, Comic Book Guy, Flanders, Homer, Lisa, Marge, Moe and Ralph.
Quotes.txt are simply line items like Homer: And the quote
