This is by far the best Newsletter Component there is. Especially fot K2 Users it works outstanding. I have been struggling with Acajoom, RSMail and others especially regarding the templates the are far from user friendly. With AcyMailing it is finally easy to create a newsletter wich looks the way you want it.

Our company has been using AcyMailing for 9 months-- started with Starter version after swtiching from another product. We now use Enterprise version using the variety of plugin integrations (Jevents, CB, VM, etc.) and have built 100+ autoresponders and managed thousands of subscribers with no problem. Only one technical issue surfaced, a conflict with a plugin from a different developer, and the AcyMailing team went above and beyond to resolve the issue within minutes of granting FTP access. This product rocks and the support is outstanding. Couldn't rec any higher!!
I have been a joomla user for several years, and this is the first time I've been motivated enough to write a review.
Shortly after downloading and testing the starter package, John contacted me to ask how the trial was going. He responded to the questions I had, described the various versions of the software that might improve my experience, and was generally very helpful.
After trying the starter package, I purchased the Enterprise edition for my newspaper's website. The features it had, as well as those promised, perfectly met my needs.
Since that time, the package, which installed in under 5 minutes, has worked flawlessly. Promised new features have been added, and added on the promised schedule. Service has been top notch. And no, I am not related to anyone with this company, nor do I know any of them personally.
Simply put, this is a great product, offered by a company that practices a level of service rarely seen today.

Once you know your way around, you can create clean and professional looking newsletters for several groups (lists) with your own layout - automatically calling Joomla content.
And all this works with the free Starter edition.

I already installed at and started to use without any problem. Moreover, I am very happy about the features and the friendliness in usability.
Now I received a very useful e-mail from support which I would thanks for the simple indications as well I would thank the developer of the Extension.
I am not going to use the payed features for this web site because it is based on a volunteer basis (and I am volunteer for it) but I will do it for any professional website it would require its features.
For sure I will post this review and my rating at Joomla! Extensions Directory.

I had a few problems at first with an early version but support was very good. Also open to suggestions which were implemented. I got the paid version which has features our club needs but for many people the free version will do.
Cant find a fault with 1.5.0. It was definitely worth it ...having a Joomla integrated group mailing list rather than mailman (less reliable).

I have been working professionally with Joomla back when it was called Mambo and I have tried nearly all new and old mailing systems for Joomla for my clients. My conclusion is clear: AcyMailing is the best mailing software for Joomla and I like to say that very loud :-)
Adrien (the developer) is extremely fast in his support and he gladly implements suggestions and that is properly why AcyMailing is very rich in features and has very user friendly intuitive pages :-)

I am very disappointed with this extension. First the sending of the emails are slow when there are a lot of emails in the list.
Second when sending my emails the entire website get much slower.
Last but not least I find some functionality awkward to use, not really intuitive or user friendly. Fortunately the documentation is okay, but a good extension should not require a documentation, especially when it is as simple as sending emails.
This extension still needs some work, I am disappointed. Hope to see some improvement, especially on the performance aspect.

Reading your review and the 220 others, I feel like you tested an other component... are you really talking about AcyMailing?
The only reason the send process could be slow is that you selected the option to embed your images in the Newsletter.
So instead of a path attached to your website, the picture itself will be included in the e-mail and may slow down the process (if you send 1Mo picture to each user, it will obviously take some time...).
So you can simply turn off this option (which is not enabled by default by the way) and you will see the real speed of AcyMailing! ;)
We love receiving feedbacks, it helps a lot to move forward.
So we would really appreciate if you could send us an e-mail about the "functionality awkward to use".
Easy to install, easy to use, and it works! In fact, it works beyond my imagination. The Starter edition does so much already and is so clean and intuitive in its programming. Congratulations to an extension well done, and thank you so much for making it available! I'm sure I'll be upgrading!
I wanted to try my hand at a newsletter extension before spending hard earned money on a service like Constant Contact. If you have ever used a similar service, you will find AcyMailing fairly intuitive. I am intrigued by the upgrade features (especially those with Virtuemart) and may pay up before the holidays. Thanks, Acyba team!
Before I switched to AcyMailing Enterprise I tried Acajoom Pro and jNews Pro for our clients. The one and only serious Newsletter tool is AcyMailing! It works like a charm with Multi-Language Sites (Joomfish), easy template-management, you can insert articles with the acymailing plugin into the Newsletter. Perfect! I love it! You saved my day!
Been spending a few hours with AcyMailing and all I can say is, WOW!
I have tried others before, but this beats everything (regarding mailings) so far.
Easy to install. And if you (like me) don’t read manuals (except when you’re down and out ;-) ), you are still able to send your first mailing within hours.

One of the first (free)Newsletter components in which everything works immediately! Very professional and well-thought design, structure and process to sustain newsletter mailings.
What I like most: import mechanism for subscribers, subscribe and unsubscribe mechanism and leveled parameters (newsletter overrules list/template, list/template overrules general configuration). So... Excellent!

I have a database of 40 000 people and AcyMailing handled my whole list beautifully. Unlike some other components (which I used for 2 years and battled with for the last 12 months) the unsubscribe feature actually works and you can't add someone accidentally once they have been blacklisted. There is a bounce and cron function which works from within the component. You don't have to install any other components to get these features to work. The support is great too. Forget the rest AcyMailing is the best!!
This is simply one of the best newsletter components for Joomla. I recommend it to all my clients.
However, as with many, but not all, free extensions, the back link should be optional otherwise it is not a free extension in my view. If all developers did that our sites would look like link farms.

I saw a post on the Joomla forum about removing our footer back link (just by adding one CSS line) so you can apply this method until we add a simple option on our free version (next release!).
Our back link is not added in your e-mails, neither on the module but only on the archive section so it's not obtrusive.
Anyway, we don't want users to upgrade to our commercial version only because they want to remove our back link so we will give the option to remove it on our free version as well... AcyMailing Starter will really be a free extension! ;)
I have only used the free version but can tell you that I love it. I opted to buy acajoom pro based on the price and the feature set and am very happy with it. Now with that said the top version of Acymailing does offer more features for more money but I did not need the full feature list. For example, the top version come with auto responder and bounce handling, I did not need the bounce at this time but did need the auto responder. In sum both these programs are great because I have used them and am very satisfied with them. I will probably buy the top version of this program for one of my websites.
