Practically every Joomla extension claims to be easy to install, easy to use, and deliver loads of functionality, so it's very difficult to choose which extension to actually try even with all of the available reviews. I'd like to say that AcyMailing lives up to the hype! I've only installed the standard version so far and I haven't had a lot of time to dig into it yet, but I was able to install it and successfully send my first newsletter within 15 minutes! The admin user interface is fantastic - it integrates seamlessly with Joomla and it's very intuitive. Within an hour I was even able to create my own custom template and successfully send a newsletter using that. I'm looking forward to using more of the features and most likely I'll be upgrading to the Essential version soon.

I had a client with a lot of users in 10 email lists.
I bought Acymailing Essential to send the newsletters and i couldn't import the lists. It was some mistake i was doing, but Adrien from support did more than he was obligated to do and made all the necessary changes in the lists. I strongly recommend the extension and the support.

Simply the best! I'm VERY satisfied with this great component. Very complete, very easy to use, with many options of costumization, large documentation. I just have good things to say about it. And if you have any doubts, the support is quickly, gently and precise! I say: strongly recommended!

i have tested the free version out, but am waiting on the new version for jomsocial integration... have anyone yet tried with jomsocial where can i find integration method
I cannot begin to express how many problems this component has solved for me and they also have the best customer care I have seen with any Joomla component or plug in.
Typically when I have a question or issue with a component I will write on a forum and not hear back from anyone for at least a day but with AcyMailing they emailed me back and forth regarding the questions I had the same day. They were quick at finding work a around to my issues. Then to top it off, they went so far as to go into the back end of my site, install it for me and then customize their code to sync with ccUsers (a log in and registration component that is not their own) all so I can have opt in mailing list on my registration page.
These people are fantastic. Hell, I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

I've been looking for a newsletter add on to Joomla that would register users and send emails. I literally spent weeks trying to get other components to work with my setup to no avail. I've finally found one that works... and it's free! The paid version seems to do even more than I want and I'm just about ready to drop the money to get it.

I have been building a subscriber list for a year now with a different component. Send out a newsletter only once during that time, simply because the tool didn't feel right.
Tried AcyMailing yesterday. It imported the subscriber list without a problem. Configured the subscription process and created a template for the newsletter, all within a day. The 3 example templates provide an great starting point.
Send out a long overdue newsletter last night with great results.
This component provides:
- templates (multiple)
- multiple mailing lists
- statistics (see how many subscribers opened the mail)
- web access to the newsletters
- catch bounced emails (to see if the mail actually reaches the recipient)
all in the free version
Only thing missing so far (or I haven't found it yet)
- manually send reminder email for confirmation (not that important, but if you know email bounce it could be handy)
- configuration of the thank you for subscribe messages on the website. It displays a standard text now.
This component easily makes it on my 'must have' joomla component list.

To customize the thank you page, you can either change the text on your language file (via the AcyMailing configuration page) or you can turn off the message and configure your own redirection page (so you can create your own thank you page with a Joomla article for example).
If you want to send a reminder about the confirmation, you can easily create a list of unconfirmed users using the mass subscription screen and create a Newsletter including your confirmation link. Then, temporary turn off the confirmation option, send your Newsletter and turn it On again.
Just to avoid any misunderstanding, the "deliver" field indicates if your server was able to send the message or not whereas the bounce handling (AcyMailing Enterprise) is able to connect to your mailbox to analyze the messages and execute an action on your subscribers using a non-existing e-mail address.
Thank you for the free version! This is the best newsletter module ever! I have tried several but this one stands out as being the easiest to set up and has more options than any of the others. The templates included are fab, too! I suspect we will upgrade sometime in the future but for now - this version works wonderfully!
