I downloaded, installed and started using AcyMailing free edition. I have been using another top rated non-commercial extension, which was providing almost all functionality.
AcyMailing free version is enough to most of your needs, and whenever you need more you can buy its commercial version.
I am very happy with my decision to try this extension.

+ ***** = 10 stars! This is the perfect solution for my site. This extension has a lot of sophistication yet is easy to work with from a non-pro's point of view! Awesome back-end with lots of options and very thorough help dialogues. the mass mail function in my Joomla site does not work, but this newsletter does in fact work! Very nice templates, and has the important features built in such as "unsubscribe" and related tracking, distribution list management, queue management, great stats where I can see who has opened the newsletter from their e-mail and how many times, and great maintenance features. Great work!!
This script is fantastic! Its easy to set up, easy to understand and has an easy learning curve. The newsletters are very professional. Creating a new template is easy too. Sending newsletters is a no-brainer.
The customer support goes beyond the call of duty. The forum is very active with quick replies (even if the question is not exactly program related)Great documentation too.

I needed to send emails to my members. This newsletter component for Community Builder (cb) worked and worked well.
It lets you filter on your users according to what fields they choose in cb. Basically you can create different mailing lists based on different cb criteria.

AcyMailing Starter is an excellent extension for joomla.It has many benefits and is also easy to use.But one thing it does not have i.e the unsubscription option in the frontend.If the person does not want any newsletter from acymailing,how can he unsubscribe from it?Plz reply.

Of course AcyMailing has an unsubscribe option.
You can display an unsubscribe button on your AcyMailing module (edit the AcyMailing module and turn ON the option "display unsusbcribe button").
But you can also include an unsubscribe link in your Newsletters (which is the case by default in all our templates) and that's really the best way to let your users unsubscribe from your Mailing List.
Having tried several extensions over the years, it is very refreshing when I encounter an extension that is not only a terrific tool but the support is professional and efficient! Even on the free version, responses were prompt and well-written, leading us to upgrade to the pay version because it had additional features that we were looking for and, with this kind of support, we were comfortable investing in the Enterprise version. What a terrific extension... and team!
This is a good extension. The only "bad" thing is that all emails send for it, falls in SPAM box in your email account..., but test yourself and see what you find!

Simple modifications and a well configured server enable you to have very high deliverability rates.
I loved the starter package so much that I bought the essential package because I wanted a welcome message to be sent to my subscribers. I tried the *other* popular mailing program, but this one is better by far! plug and play, well worth the $40USD.
Came from acajoom. Installed acymailing, configured it and sent my first newsletter after an hour. Works like a charm. Thank you for a great component.
Recommended for all users who look for a powerful yet easy to configure component without any problems with encodings and such.

AcyMailing beats them all hands down. Period.
It installs smoothly. Configuration is clear and simple. The inline help is helpful and to the point. Even the free version is more complete than other's paid versions.
It integrates perfectly with CB, and imports automatically the users/subscription from other mailing list manager.
I was so enthusiastic about the non commercial version that I wanted to donate!
I decided instead to buy the Enterprise version, well worth the price. Of course the upgrade process was quick and painless.
What to add: a perfectly designed piece of software that delivers more than you pay for. Congratulations to the developers.
