New web store to make it faster to purchase (can still purchase through invoice). Full Summary: Total RSS is an RSS feed creator for Joomla 1.5.XX (Native). This software expands upon the built in support for creating feeds in Joomla by providing individual feeds for each author. In addition, it helps users locate and subscribe to feeds for sections and categories by providing a hierarchal list and links to popular web based readers, as well as direct links to feeds. Another new feature is the Super Feed, which provides a customized feed for all articles on your Joomla based website. Total RSS was inspired by my earlier software, Author RSS. However, this software was rewritten from scratch to take advantage of new features in the Joomla 1.5.XX framework. Some of the new features include using the built in RSS Joomla Document type for feed creation and expanded support for SEF (search engine friendly/search engine optimization) URLs. In addition, this new software provides greater control over which sections and categories are listed for users on the front-end as well as new configuration options. Total RSS is easy to work with and easy to modify. Total RSS was built using the MVC framework which helps divide logic and presentation, making customization very easy with a basic knowledge of PHP and some general HTML/CSS experience. In addition, this software is distributed under an open source license allowing for true freedom of use and modification. Total RSS runs natively under Joomla 1.5.XX, but will not run on Joomla 1.0.XX. If you are using Joomla 1.0.XX, please visit the Author RSS page to learn more about that product.

This is an incredibly solid component - I would recommend it to anyone.

Also, I had some questions about it, used their support system and received an answer/solution within 45 minutes. That in itself is somewhat of a rarity.

These guys are the real deal.

Does exactly what I needed and more. I was looking for a way to simply provide RSS feeds for individuals users. I was not looking for a way to add a page displaying all authors and their feeds but Total RSS provided this and it was a great addition to my site. Simply to install, simple to setup. Well worth the money. Thanks Web Design Hero and keep up the great work!

First of all it's not W3C-valid, actually a lot of errors... Don't understand where I can get hold of an upgrade (bug fixes and such). I like the idea though where you can choose from different sections, categories or even authors.

I am sorry you were unhappy with some aspects Total RSS. There is no claim anywhere that the code is W3C-valid. If you purchased the software from my site (http://webdesignhero.com/store/) the fourth menu tab at the top links you to the contact/support ticket system, which many people have successfully used to contact me. Please feel free to contact me and I will try to help you with any changes that you would like to make in order to make it validate to your preferred doctype, most likely a few minor tweaks to tags (though its open-source and MVC so feel free to make any tweaks you would like). No one has asked me about validation in the past so it was never evaluated, but I will look into updating this if there is further demand.

I use this component to spit out an RSS feed for a iPhone app. I love being able to select a feed from sections and categories. I had a couple of support issues, and using his ticketing system, they were always solved within a day.

I think the basic idea of this is fantastic, and the backend is pretty easy to use. However, I couldn't figure out from any documentation (which is close to nil) or site demos how to setup the links in the frontend. I contacted the developer a couple weeks ago and have yet to hear back. So, if you're going to pay for this, make sure you fully understand how to use it before you do - or you'll end up with a clever component that isn't usable on your site.

If you find that you need help, please make sure to contact me through the ticketing system on my website (http://webdesignhero.com/ticket/) and that you check your ticket. You will receive an email notification each time your ticket is updated, so please make sure that your spam filters are not filtering out any messages. The ticket system allows our conversation to exist in one place that will not get lost or accidently deleted. If you look at the reviews for my other software, you will see my service record. As for the documentation, documentation is available on my website, and can be found with one click on the documentation above on this JED Page. The frontpage links (Page 2) and configuring individual feeds (Page 3) are described in the documentation. Configuring the back end administration is also shown in the demo video found on my website. I responded to this particular user through the ticket system with specifics on how to set it up and use it on her website; however, she never followed up or seemed to check her ticket status.
